January 6-7, 2017 Big Swamp Smoke-Off - Naples, Florida
The Collier County Fair is proud to announce its 5th annual Big Swamp Smoke-Off Bar-B-Que competition. A large contingent of the country's top cook teams will arrive in Naples to compete as the top cooks. Our two day event will include activities for the kids, live entertainment, and other vendors. The competition will take place at the Collier County Fairgrounds. Admission is Free for Adults and Children.
January 14-15, 2017 - 12th Annual Florida Keys Seafood Festival

The Florida Keys Seafood Festival's purpose is to raise money for the fishing industry, to showcase the great local seafood harvested by the commercial fishermen of the Keys, to provide scholarships to college-bound children of commercial fishermen, and to celebrate our community by bringing families and friends together.
January 21-22, 2017 Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival
FREE. The Sarasota Downtown Merchants Association is pleased to announce the inaugural Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival. The mission of the event is to celebrate the nautical and cultural heritage of Sarasota. The festival will offer a mix of the freshest sustainable and indigenous seafood and varying genres of local entertainment. Also showcased in this extraordinary event will be seafood cooking demos, fishing workshops, arts and crafts, educational programs and exhibits. The event celebrates community thru camaraderie, great music and scrumptious foods. Seafood lovers can expect to sample many different kinds of fin-fish and shellfish served by local restaurants and food purveyors. The ‘menus’ includes grouper, stone crabs, jambalaya, crab cakes, low country boil and much, much more! Foods are prepared onsite. Performing live on stage are musical genres from Rock N’ Roll, R&B, Blues, Rumba Flamenco, Reggae and Jazz. In addition, enjoy original handmade artwork from a select group of local, regional and national artisans.

January 15-16, 2016 6th Annual Oyster Cook-Off
Welcome to the Annual Oyster Cook-Off to benefit the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department! The event is held every year on the Friday and Saturday before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in downtown Historic Apalachicola at Riverfront Park. All proceeds goes directly towards paying for the brand new fire truck they were able to purchase a few years ago, due to this sole fundraising event! The event features a silent auction, oysters galore, shrimp, smoked mullet, hot dogs, hamburgers, local beer, live music, kids’ activities, dancing performances and a 5K run! Enter your best recipe and be a contestant in the oyster cook-off or just come out and enjoy a day of wonderful food, refreshments and music.
January 15-24, 2016 DeSoto County Fair & Livestock Show
Our Fair consists of pageants for the young ladies and talent shows for the youth and adults. In the barn, beef, swine, rabbit, poultry and goats are exhibited and judged. Beef and swine are sold at auction to benefit our exhibiting youth. Your support in this area is important, as many of our youth use the proceeds from the sale of their animals to build an educational fund. Sales often exceed $200,000.00 in revenue for our youth. Our exhibit building provides space for the 4-H exhibitors and students to show off their projects and earn awards.
January 16, 2016 5th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival
Port Canaveral, Florida
This year’s event will feature everything to do with the Sunshine State’s favorite citrus, the “Florida Key Lime”. The Florida Key Lime Pie Company will be featuring an array of the company’s delicious Real Florida Key Lime Pie to include their ever popular “Key Lime Pie in a Cup”, “Key Lime Pie in a Coconut”, as well as "Key Lime Pie by the Slice”. The Florida Key Lime Pie Company will also be hosting a contest for a 2016 “Miss Florida Key Lime Pie” as well as the company’s ever popular “Florida Key Lime Pie Eating Contest” and The Best of Florida’s Bartenders “Key Lime Pie Martini” and “Key Lime Pie Margarita” challenge.
January 18, 2016 The Dinner - West Palm Beach, Florida
The Dinner will feature tastings from the area’s finest chefs who will prepare a selection of gourmet tastings from their fabulous menus. Each dish will be paired with a complimentary wine. This spectacular culinary evening is not to be missed! Proceeds benefit Quantum House families. Tickets are $150 per person. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Silent auction, live music and wine pull. All proceeds benefit Quantum House.
January 21-24, 2016 Annual Frog Leg Festival - Fellsmere, Florida
Live entertainment, midway, crafters, and frog leg dinners. Proceeds benefit children's recreation in Fellsmere. Attendance: 80,000.

January 29-31, 2016 Delray Beach Garlic Fest - Delray Beach, Florida
An international award winning gourmet food and entertainment event featuring national act entertainment, Gourmet Alley food area with over 80 garlic laced menu items, a large children’s area, 200 artist and craft vendors, Garlic Chef cooking competition, Cloves & Vines Wine Garden and full liquor bar. The Delray Beach Garlic Fest was founded by a group of local folks looking to establish a fund-raising source for local non-profit organizations serving education and arts organizations for youth. The event relies on volunteer organizations to staff the event. That non-profit organization, appropriately named Delray Beach Arts, Inc. has reached a milestone this year donating over $600,000 and proudly continues to grow its charitable donations each year. The Largest Steak Competition East of the Mississippi River. Featuring grill teams vying for a top prize in this professionally-judged event. All grill teams are welcome. Entry fee is per team. Tickets for the Sunshine State Steak Cook-Off are $20.00 per person and include live music, kids fun zone, and 16oz Ribeye steak, salad, roll, baked potato, and beverage. This is a fundraiser for the Rhodora J. Donahue K-12 Academy of Ave Maria.

Featuring fresh local seafood, live musical entertainment, cooking demonstrations, contests and kids' activities. Sponsored by the Key Largo Fisheries and Key Largo Merchants Association, the 7TH Annual family-fun event takes place at Rowell's Marina, MM 104.5 bayside. Seafood booths are to serve up succulent stone crab claws, homemade smoked fish dip, conch fritters, chowders, tuna nachos, lobster and more. Attendees also can visit cooking tents for tips on how to devise and devour favorite Keys dishes. Other attractions include arts and crafts, vendor booths, fireworks, shrimp and Key lime pie-eating contests, a car show and even piratical escapades for kids.

A culinary competition and tasting that benefits the Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens (MARC provides life services for developmentally disabled adults in the Florida Keys). This event has become the premier food event of the Key West season. Restaurants compete in appetizer, entrée and dessert categories providing incredible food for 450 lucky people. Cochon555, the signature culinary competition featuring five chefs cooking five heritage breed pigs in a friendly competition for a cause. The tour is dedicated to helping Piggy Bank create the first open-source agriculture platform for heritage species while raising global awareness for socially responsible farming. The event unites consumers with local farmers, renowned chefs, prominent winemakers, restaurateurs, craft brewers and distillers in each city for a nose-to-tail culinary showdown celebrating family farms. At each event, 500 guests including notable judges will vote for the best bite amongst 2,000 pounds of awesomeness and the winning chef will be announced the “Princess or Prince of Porc”. On June 18th, the ten regional winners of Cochon555 fly to Aspen/Snowmass to compete at Grand Cochon, a spotlight of 10 chefs, 10 pigs and the best 30 bites from tour.
