January 12-13, 2018 National Potato Council Annual Meeting
The NPC Annual Meeting is your opportunity to connect with other grower leaders from across the country and to shape national public policy impacting potato production and distribution. These policies have a real impact on the day-to-day operation of your business and there is no voice too small to make a real impact. Topics of discussion include trade, environment, legislative and government affairs, and more. Held immediately following POTATO EXPO, the Annual Meeting provides a way to get up-to-date on issues facing potato growers and network with others in the industry. The meeting includes with a reception and awards banquet recognizing leaders and innovators in the industry.
January 12-13, 2018 Apalachicola Oyster Cook-Off
This year’s 8th Annual Oyster Cook-Off features a silent auction, oysters galore, shrimp, smoked mullet, hot dogs, hamburgers, local beer, live music, kids’ activities, dancing performances and a 5K run! Enter your best recipe and be a contestant in the oyster cook-off or just come out and enjoy a day of wonderful food, refreshments and music. All proceeds goes directly towards paying for the brand new fire truck they were able to purchase a few years ago, due to this sole fundraising event!
January 13, 2018 7th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival

The Florida Key Lime Pie Company will be presenting its 7th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival at Brevard Veterans Memorial Park in Merritt Island. It’s a fun filled day with live music, food trucks, street performances, Key Lime Pie Contests and Florida’s best Key Lime Pie. Admission: $10 For Adults; $5 Children 12 and under; children 4 and under free. A percentage of this year’s ticket sales will be donated to the veterans memorial fund as well as all current and retired United States Military Members will receive free admittance with your military I.D.

Largest Dessert Festival in South Florida. 5pm to 7pm. Tickets are $20 and include dessert sampling, a 'to-go box, milk and coffee. You will be given 30 raffle tickets in which you can exchange them at any vendor for a dessert sample. Tickets include deluxe tasting, your personal to-go box along with coffee and ice cold milk. A weekend of great food and music as a new tradition in Englewood commences: the Englewood Seafood & Music Festival. Held in Pioneer Park on West Dearborn Street, hours both Saturday and Sunday are 10 am to 6 pm and general admission to the event and live musical performances is FREE. A culinary competition and tasting that benefits the Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens (MARC provides life services for developmentally disabled adults in the Florida Keys). This event has become the premier food event of the Key West season. Restaurants compete in appetizer, entrée and dessert categories providing incredible food for 450 lucky people.
