October 2, 2016  18th Annual Arts & Olive Festival 2016
Redwood City, California
The celebration brings together more than 80 vendors consisting of some of the olive industry’s top experts to provide the community with olive education, olive and olive oil tasting, olive related products, and an abundance of quality art works and gifts. The event benefits student scholarships.

October 6, 2016  7th Annual Union Street Wine Walk
San Francisco, California
Sixth Annual Union Street Wine Walk. The Tasting program will run from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The Tasting event will be located throughout Union Street from Gough to Steiner and on Fillmore Street from Union to Lombard and will include restaurants and merchants offering hors d'oeuvres and wine samples.  The entire event is free to the public. Attendees wishing to participate in the sampling program may purchase on-site tickets for $30 or advance tickets for $25 via the website. The on-site tickets sales location is 2040 Union Street (across from the Metro Theater).  Participants will receive a wine glass and map with all of the tasting locations. Ticket sales on the day of the event will be "Cash Only."

October 8, 2016  Dana Point BBQ Championships and Craft Brew Fest
Dana Point, California
Sea Terrace Park.  The Dana Point BBQ Championships and Craft Brew Fest is the largest BBQ competition on the West Coast with over 100 BBQ Teams competing for the title.  In addition to BBQ samples, there will be several Food Trucks and dozens of Craft Beers to taste.  Please join us for a day of BBQ delights.

October 16, 2016  Cochon555’s Heritage BBQ - San Francisco, California
Notable chefs and farmers will spotlight their passion for global BBQ grilling traditions and old world cooking techniques.  Chefs have 7 days to prepare one whole pig and present a “Judge’s Plate” consisting of 6 dishes scored on utilization, global influences, cooking techniques and overall flavor. The winner in each city will be crowned the “BBQ King or Queen” and takes home more than $3,000 in prizes. In addition to sampling the competitor’s dishes, the all-inclusive ticket includes “BBQ Traditions”, a tasting inside the event where 10 notable chefs prepare one dish from their favorite BBQ culture in non-competitive spirit. If you love global flavors and star-studded culinary events, this educational event is like a top chef classroom.

October 22, 2016  San Francisco’s Wharf Fest - San Francisco, California
Wharf Fest, a free Fisherman’s Wharf festival, returns to San Francisco’s iconic neighborhood for the second year. The Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District is throwing the ultimate festival to celebrate San Francisco’s historic waterfront district and invite Bay Area locals to visit the district after the tourist season has ended and before San Francisco’s fabulous fall climate fades away. This year’s festival will include a chowder cook-off competition, maritime themed activities, a bike decorating contest, and a “trashy” fashion show. The day will be topped off with a screening of the "Best of the Fest" animated films from the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival and a spectacular fireworks show at PIER 39.

A celebration of harvest featuring three full days of wine tasting with 150+ wineries, wine sales, chef demonstrations, microbrew tasting (Saturday only), farm and harvest agricultural activities for children and adults, the World Championship Grape Stomp, continuous live jazz, an art show, crafters pavilion, farm animals to meet, and much more.

October 3, 2015  Wine, Rhythm & Brews - Sierra Madre, California
2nd Annual Wine, Rhythm & Brews presented by The Spero Foundation.  Enjoy a fun-filled night of beer and wine tastings, delicious bites of food, and live music as you walk down the streets and into the local businesses.  The San Gabriel Mustang Club will have some of their cars available for your viewing pleasure.  There will also be a silent auction with plenty of amazing items that you will be able to bid on and hopefully win!  The Spero Foundation is a non-profit organization and all proceeds from this event will go to Arcadia Methodist of Southern California's Positive Image Center and Cancer Education Programs, as well as local philanthropies we support.

October 3, 2015  22nd Calaveras Grape Stomp - Murphys, California
25 pounds of wine grapes freshly picked, a half wine barrel fitted with a spout, a partner and you.  More than 100 teams throughout the state and beyond compete each year to vie for the prestigious 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards. Stomp competitions take place every half hour. The team, comprised of one stomper and one mucker (the juice collector), have three minutes to extract as much juice from 25 pounds of wine grapes as possible. And of course… lots of Award Winning Calaveras Wine and delicious foods!

It's a fisherman's dream come true. The oldest Bass Derby on the West Coast will once again be highlighted at the Rio Vista Bass Festival. This year, anglers are able to choose between two fishing contests on the same ticket. Target lengths will be drawn at the start of the Derby early Friday morning for both Striped Bass and Sturgeon.  Kids Derby: This is a family event and we welcome young anglers, up to but not including 16 years of age.  Kids will be fishing for catfish and striped bass.  The Beer Garden stage will light up with sounds from all genres including Rock & Roll, R&B, Soul, Pop, and Country Strong . October 12, 2015  42nd Annual Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off - Half Moon Bay, California
The World’s Greatest Gourd Growers and their astounding, mind-boggling, Volkswagen-sized orange orbs hope to squash the world record at the “Super Bowl of Weigh-Offs”—in the World Pumpkin Capital of Half Moon Bay, California. This year, event organizers are offering a special $30,000 mega-prize for the world record at Half Moon Bay. To receive the $30,000 mega-prize, the grower must break and hold the world record at the conclusion of the Half Moon Bay weigh-off. If two or more growers happen to break the world record at Half Moon Bay, the prize money would go to the grower of the heaviest pumpkin. The current world record is 2,323 pounds.

October 16, 2010  20th Annual Return of the Salmon Festival
Anderson, California
The Coleman National Fish Hatchery will host over 40 exhibitors and will showcase its salmon spawning operations. A street fair in downtown Anderson will run in conjunction with the festival and will offer a traditional salmon bake.

October 27, 2010  White House Tea and Tour - Simi Valley, California
Traditional tea featuring scones, finger sandwiched and tea cakes that are elegantly presented by professional wait staff.  Following the tea guests will receive a docent led tour of the Museum.  Tea at the Reagan Library is truly and exceptional experience!

October 29, 2009  California Wine & Gourmet Food Experience
Simi Valley, California
First annual food and wine pairing event at the Reagan Library.  A small plate progressive dinner paired with 10 wines from California wineries. There will be live music and dancing under the wings of Air Force One. This is Ventura County’s wine and food event of the season.
