 Union Street Wine Walk

Annual Union Street Wine Walk. The Tasting program will run from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The Tasting event will be located throughout Union Street from Gough to Steiner and on Fillmore Street from Union to Lombard and will include restaurants and merchants offering hors d'oeuvres and wine samples.  The entire event is free to the public.  Participants will receive a wine glass and map with all of the tasting locations. Ticket sales on the day of the event will be "Cash Only."

San Francisco, California
Wharf Fest, a free Fisherman’s Wharf festival, returns to San Francisco’s iconic neighborhood for the second year. The Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District is throwing the ultimate festival to celebrate San Francisco’s historic waterfront district and invite Bay Area locals to visit the district after the tourist season has ended and before San Francisco’s fabulous fall climate fades away. This year’s festival will include a chowder cook-off competition, maritime themed activities, a bike decorating contest, and a “trashy” fashion show. The day will be topped off with a screening of the "Best of the Fest" animated films from the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival and a spectacular fireworks show at PIER 39.

Tasting events like these have become really popular in LA but often come with huge crowds and long lines. Our idea was to host a show that was more exclusive with limited ticketing.  It takes place at the REEF in DTLA.  EAT Show is a brand new tasting event for real food enthusiasts.  This isn't a festival, its a celebration of culinary excellence.  We've limited to 1,000 tickets per session to avoid the crazy lines.  One ticket gives you access to all of our 50+ amazing vendors- This equates to less than $1 per restaurant!  See website for complete details.

October 1, 2016  23rd Calaveras Grape Stomp - Murphys, California
25 pounds of wine grapes freshly picked, a half wine barrel fitted with a spout, a partner and you.  More than 100 teams throughout the state and beyond compete each year to vie for the prestigious 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards. Stomp competitions take place every half hour. The team, comprised of one stomper and one mucker (the juice collector), have three minutes to extract as much juice from 25 pounds of wine grapes as possible. And of course… lots of Award Winning Calaveras Wine and delicious foods!

For your enjoyment, you will find craft and fiber booths, carnival rides for kids, competitions, and as always, a variety of great food celebrating the lamb industry and the rich agricultural heritage of the region. It's a fisherman's dream come true. The oldest Bass Derby on the West Coast will once again be highlighted at the Rio Vista Bass Festival. This year, anglers are able to choose between two fishing contests on the same ticket. Target lengths will be drawn at the start of the Derby early Friday morning for both Striped Bass and Sturgeon.  Kids Derby: This is a family event and we welcome young anglers, up to but not including 16 years of age.  Kids will be fishing for catfish and striped bass.  The Beer Garden stage will light up with sounds from all genres including Rock & Roll, R&B, Soul, Pop, and Country Strong . The World’s Greatest Gourd Growers and their astounding, mind-boggling, Volkswagen-sized orange orbs hope to squash the world record at the “Super Bowl of Weigh-Offs”—in the World Pumpkin Capital of Half Moon Bay, California. This year, event organizers are offering a special $30,000 mega-prize for the world record at Half Moon Bay. To receive the $30,000 mega-prize, the grower must break and hold the world record at the conclusion of the Half Moon Bay weigh-off. If two or more growers happen to break the world record at Half Moon Bay, the prize money would go to the grower of the heaviest pumpkin. The current world record is 2,323 pounds.
