Ventura County Fair
Ventura, California
The Ventura County Fair began in 1875, when the primary focus of the fair was horse racing. The fair was enjoyed so much that it continued every year up until today- with the exception of a few years during World War II. The tradition continues with the 140th Ventura County Fair, “A Country Fair with Ocean Air”.  We look forward to making lasting memories with you and your family.

August 3-6, 2017  Annual Mammoth Festival of Beers & Bluesapalooza
Mammoth Lakes, California
Mammoth's Festival of Beers features more than 70 of the country's best microbreweries. Along with the beer and blues, a "Blues-style" BBQ and plenty of other food will satisfy the heartiest of appetites and keep the party going. Don't forget the Sunday Morning Hangover Party.

August 4, 2017  39th Mendocino County Fair Wine Competition Awards Ceremony and Dinner
Boonville, California
Celebrate the best of the best! Commemorate the return to the fairgrounds, where the Wine Competition originated years ago, as we name this year's winners.  A relaxed reception at the Boonville Fairgrounds will feature an abundant appetizer buffet provided by Boont Berry Farm. Sample over 200 wines from the competition while visiting with the esteemed judges and enjoying delicious appetizers. An awards ceremony will celebrate the Best of Class winners, culminating in the big reveal of the five Best of Show Awards.  A list of all medal winning wines will be available for guests at the reception and online immediately after the awards presentation.

August 17, 2017  7th Annual Noe Valley Wine Walk
San Francisco, California
The Noe Valley Merchants Association and Steven Restivo Event Services, LLC. are hosting the Annual Noe Valley Wine Walk from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The tasting event will be located throughout 24th Street from Diamond to Chattanooga and will include restaurants and merchants offering wine samples, finger foods and special treats. The Central Coast Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers will be hosting the 2016 statewide meeting, The Festival of Fruit, with the theme of the festival being "Year of Edible Landscaping - Apples to Zapotes" This event will feature a day of dynamic speaker presentations on Saturday revolving around some of the more drought tolerant fruits that can be grown in Southern California as well as products and cultural practices that can be used to help reduce water use and help in water conservation.

This fun event is being held to help raise the needed funding to continue the work of the 'Homeless to Hope to Home' shelter programs of American Family Housing (AFH).  An non-profit organization specializing in the care of homeless families and individuals.  AFH is one of the largest homeless service providers in the County. The 3rd Annual Pigs, Ribs and Watermelons Professional BBQ competition and Beer festival is a Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned event and competing for the $10,000.00 prize money on both Saturday and Sunday will be 65 of the top nationally ranked BBQ teams including teams from the TLC reality television show on BBQ Pitmasters. The team with the highest overall score for the weekend will get a chance to compete in the World Food Championships this November in Las Vegas.

The Board of Directors has made a decision to reschedule this year's Taste in San Pedro that was originally scheduled for August 3rd and 4th. Many factors contributed to this decision most notable were financial constraints resulting from the current economic climate, and the inability to host the event on Sunday this year at the Ports O' Call location.  The Chamber thanks their previous Taste supporters and invites everyone to be on the alert for news of the New Taste in San Pedro.
