April 20, 2019  Bay Area Craft Beer Festival - Martinez, California
The Bay Area Craft Beer Festival in downtown Martinez began in 2010 to highlight the art and flavor of craft beer in Martinez and surrounding communities. produced by Main Street Martinez, the festival draws 3,000 people to enjoy beer from over 50 microbreweries, live music and food from local restaurants. This year, the event will be held at Waterfront Park on North Court St., a short walking distance from the Martinez Amtrak station and free downtown parking.  Event is 21 years and older only.

April 20, 2019  California Nut Festival - Chico, California
NO FESTIVAL IN 2019 -  Mark Your Calendar for April 18, 2020!  Organizers of the California Nut Festival have made the decision to cancel the annual fundraising event in 2019 to allow time for the North Valley community to focus all energies on recovering and rebuilding after the devastating Camp Fire.  The agriculture-focused culinary event will resume in 2020 and, moving forward, will be led by a dedicated group of Patrick Ranch Museum (PRM) members.

The vibrant and entertaining one-day festival pays tribute to Chico's rich agricultural heritage with a bounty of farm-fresh food sampling, cooking demonstrations, live music on two stages, an art show and, of course, lots of sampling of wonderful delights, wine and beer!  Proceeds benefit the Historic Patrick Ranch Museum, a restored mansion and working farm managed by the Far West Heritage Association.

April 1, 2018 - 27th Annual Union Street Easter Parade & Spring Celebration - San Francisco, California
Celebrates and showcases the diverse community of San Francisco and features some of Union Street's best restaurants serving attendees in an outdoor bistro setting.  A variety of children's and family activities including; large inflatable bounces, kids' rides and games, a climbing wall, a hands-on children's activities area, costumed characters, a petting zoo, a pony ride and entertainment from some of the Bay Area's best musicians.  Biggest Little Parade in San Francisco. The event is not your average Street Fair or formal Parade. It can best be described as wonderful, wacky, elegant and fabulous, with everything from roller-blading cows and creative self-propelled mini-floats to garden areas, sophisticated fashions and beautiful classic and art cars. The Sustainable Food Trust will be hosting a major conference on food system externalities.  Under the theme of The True Cost of American Food, this conference will explore the ways in which the economics of our present food systems are distorted in ways which result in dishonest food pricing, sending wrong signals to consumers and producers about the true cost of current intensive farming systems, and preventing the uptake of more sustainable alternatives.
