May 16-19, 2019 - 37th Annual Paso Robles Wine Festival
Paso Robles, California
4 sunny days full of events each May in celebration of everything Paso Robles wine.  The 35-year old festival, one of the largest outdoor wine festivals in California, features more than 70 of the region’s finest wineries. Along with world class wines, seminars, great food, and local music, guests enjoy Thursday night winemaker dinners and the Friday evening RESERVE event.  More than 100 wineries host individual events over the four days, amplifying the fun to be had during a celebration weekend in Paso Robles.

The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is one of the longest running events in the State of California.  It earliest roots date back to 1893, held that year in Copperopolis, the fair eventually found a permanent home outside of Angels Camp.  In the spirit of the old movie classic "State Fair," the Calaveras County Fair is a blend of entertainment, exhibits, livestock, arena events, great food and our signature event, the Frog Jump.

The Event has programs over the course of four days and includes a full day Technical Conference, BBQ in the vineyard, Grand Tasting and multiple Open Houses throughout the valley. May 19-20, 2019 - Bartender Spirits Awards - San Francisco, California
The Bartender Spirits Awards will be the first spirits competition within the United States judged entirely by top bartenders within the industry.  The aim of the competition is to provide independent and honest reviews for brands targeting the U.S. bar trade. The judging panel consists of some of the most renowned names in the U.S. bar industry, all of them with extensive expertise within the on-premise industry.  Medals will be awarded to those spirits that meet very specific judging criteria, with a goal of identifying spirits that should become additions to bar inventories. Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded to the best-performing spirits based on the following three factors: taste; packaging; and price.  Domestic Registration Ends: April 10, 2019 - International Registration Ends: February 28, 2019 - Warehouse closes: April 20, 2019 - Judging: May 19-20, 2019 - Winners announced: June 10, 2019.

The Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras Festival, turning Memorial Day weekend into a celebration of the mushroom, has big plans for the free event in downtown Morgan Hill, California.   The two-day festival of family-fun includes live entertainment on two stages, arts and crafts, gourmet offerings, mushroom education, strolling musicians, street performers, and several city blocks of unique booths. The Vista Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Annual Vista Strawberry Festival, sponsored by Tri-City Medical Center. Held on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend from 6:45 AM - 6:00 PM.  This year’s festival will be a day filled with fun, food, multiple entertainment stages, bands, carnival rides and local craft beer in the beer garden, and of course, strawberries!  The event will also host over 400 local vendors to showcase their local products to the community.  The Strawberry Festival is an entertaining event for all your family and friends that is sure to create new memories.  It is a free event to the public, so bring your family and friends and take part in the tradition of Vista!  The festival will be held in Historic Downtown Vista, beginning with the early morning Strawberry runs.  There are runs for children and all levels of adult runners.  If running isn’t your thing, there will also be the Miss Strawberry Pageant, cooking contests, pie eating contests, costume contests, Strawberry Idol, local artists and much more.  Attendance: 100,000.

In partnership with a local non-profit organization, Uncorked is a public event which provides an opportunity to taste, learn and experience wine from throughout Northern California.  Activities throughout the courtyards of Ghirardelli Square extending onto Beach Street, which will be closed to traffic.  Tasting tickets include a souvenir wine glass and unlimited tastings.  All other activities at are free. There is no admission fee to enter the event. Other activities include cooking demonstrations by renown Bay Area chefs, seminars such as “Wine 101” and “Chocolate & Wine Pairings.” Musical entertainment.  Attendance: 7,500.

We are sad to announce that the Great Wine Festival will not be returning in 2017.  The Great Wine Festival is a fundraiser for the Legal Aid Society of Orange County (LASOC), which is currently at risk of losing over 55% of its funding due to proposed federal budget cuts.  Our focus this year is establishing our Voices for Justice event as our primary annual fundraising event each October. We are working hard to bring the Great Wine Festival event back in the near future and will keep everyone posted on developments.
