July 8-24, 2016 - California State Fair 2016 - Sacramento, California
The 17-day fair is a robust celebration of the State of California, its industries, agriculture and diversity of its people. Among the highlights are  concerts, wine garden, midway rides, demonstration farm (with most crops grown in the state), livestock pavilion, fine arts competition, harness racing, and nightly fireworks. Tastes of the fair include exotic foods from around the world, plenty of healthy & nutritious options, as well as many deep-fried foods: zucchini, Twinkies, funnel cake, chicken, avacado, cheesecake, and more.  Attendance: 940,000.

July 9, 2016  5th Annual Central Coast Oyster Festival
Avila Beach, California
The Festival will feature a range of amazing oyster preparations, the best wines, brews, exclusive cocktails, and a full lineup of knockout bands to play throughout the day under the most beautiful settings. While sipping on libations, surrounded by ocean views under amazing art installations, ten chefs from across the Central Coast will go head-to-head for the “Best Oyster of the Central Coast” Chef Award, and the audience will be invited to taste their sumptuous efforts and have the opportunity to judge their favorite on the official Central Coast Oyster Festival mobile application to participate in the People Choice Award. Advance tickets for this full-day music festival and foodie experience are $22.

The festival combines virtually unlimited tasting from over 100 craft beer and wines, Dinner from top local restaurants and Music in the wonderful mountain community of Tehachapi, California.This event is an adult event for people 21 years and older and you must have valid ID for entry. No Dogs Allowed.

July 16, 2016  Annual Breastfest Beer Festival
Marin Center, San Rafael, California
One of Northern California's most prestigious tasting events. It is a day to help raise funds for non-profit health center, Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic, which supports economically challenged women in their fight against cancer.  Sample over 70 breweries, several cider houses and wineries.  Menu includes chili, BBQ ribs, salad, sanwiches, garlic fries, fried pickles, Three Twins Ice Cream, Pop Chips and more. Ticket price includes live music, food, unlimited tasting and a Breastfest commemorative cup.

July 23, 2016  Long Beach Grand Cru -  Long Beach, California
The Long Beach Grand Cru is an international wine competition as well as a public food and wine tasting. It was created by the Long Beach office of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles to increase awareness and raise funds for legal services for low income people. The competition has grown in size and prestige, attracting wineries from around the world. The public wine tasting and culinary event attracts 1,200 - 1,400 guests.

July 23-24, 2016 - Anderson Valley/Yorkville Highlands Barrel Tasting Weekend - Philo, California
Enjoy unprecedented access to winery cellars, taste yet-to-be-released wines, and purchase futures of your favorites at a special barrel tasting weekend price! Explore the area, discover new wineries, and enjoy a beautiful summer weekend in Mendocino’s Pinot country!  Participating wineries will feature previews of new wines, from Pinot Noir to Zinfandel, along with current releases. July 29-31, 2016  38th Annual Gilroy Garlic Festival
Gilroy, California

10 tons of beef … 4 tons of pasta … 4 tons of calamari … 2 tons of scampi …plus 2 tons of fresh Christopher Ranch garlic & $10 million raised for local charity. The annual ‘Ultimate Summer Food Fair’; three days of incredible food, beverages, arts & crafts, live entertainment. Great Garlic Cook-Off with a $5,000 1st Prize.  Champions for Charity: 4 teams of first responders (including firefighters, police officers, and EMTs) will compete in 3 elimination rounds including Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert. July 30, 2016  15th Annual Taste of the Delta -  Stockton, California
The Taste of The Delta fund-raiser for the California Delta Chambers showcases Delta Area Wineries, Restaurants, Artists, and Artisans. Guests sample wines, food, enjoy vendor booths, live music, and silent and live auctions. Early bird tickets can be purchased online. Yogi Bear’s Tower Park Marina will also be hosting the event this year. Plenty of parking for cars is available.

July 30-31, 2016  A Taste Of Camarillo - Camarillo, California
Wine Auction Gala Dinner and Wine & Food Festival.  Presented by Meadowlark Service League, this special event is held on the grounds of the historic Adolfo Camarillo Ranch House.
