May 2-5, 2013 Hospice du Rhône at Blackberry Farm
Celebrate the exceptional 22 Rhône varieties at the 4th installment of Hospice du Rhône at Blackberry Farm. May 15-18, 2013 The Southern Food Writing Conference - Knoxville, Tennessee
The Southern Food Writing Conference celebrates the art and the craft of writing about food in the South. Join our outstanding panel of speakers as we explore various facets of food in the South, from traditions of cookbooks and family recipes, to the connections of race, gender, income and the environment to the food traditions of the South. May 16-18, 2013 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest
The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, the Granddaddy of Grilling...where on this given Saturday, it's anybody's game. Hundreds of teams compete for over $110,000 in prizes and supreme bragging rights. While grilling is the main theme, the contest wouldn't be complete without the Ms. Piggie Idol competition where grown men dress in tutus and snouts and women kick their heels (hooves) up. There is also a t-shirt competition and even a best booth contest.

June 21-22, 2013 Queen City Barbeque Cookoff - Clarksville, Tennessee
All proceeds of this Kansas City BBQ Society event benefit the Wounded Warrior Project whose mission it is "To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members." We will be asking each team to host a wounded warrior as an honorary team member for the weekend.

The 12th annual fest will be held at Music City Walk of Fame Park. Admission includes samples from the best local, regional, national, and import breweries in the world. Enjoy great music, "beer garb" costume contest, Beer 101 education tent and more.
July 27-28, 2013 Grainger County Tomato Festival - Rutledge, Tennessee
Always the last full weekend in July. Tomato and produce sales, three stages of entertainment, tractor show, living history area, art, children's activities and Tomato Wars. Attendance: 20,000.
August 10, 2013 Tomato Art Fest - East Nashville, Tennessee
The Tomato Art Fest has grown from a small neighborhood event into a festival with 20,000 in attendance. It is truly a family event where everyone is encouraged to come out and celebrate the beloved fruit/vegetable. Free & costume-friendly!
August 23-24, 2013 5th Annual Music City Festival & BBQ Championship
A full music line-up and over 100 BBQ cook teams competing for cash and prizes in a Tennessee State Champion event sanctioned by the Memphis BBQ Network and the Kansas City BBQ Society. Benefits local charities.
