May 20, 2017  Springs Preserve Ice Cream Festival - Las Vegas, Nevada
The annual event will feature stations serving ice cream cones, sundaes, novelties and root beer floats, with entertainment for all ages including live music, airbrush tattoos, a photo booth, a bubble play station and carnival games. May 20-21, 2017  34th Annual Chili on the Comstock
Virginia City, Nevada
The two-day event hosts around 40 of the best chili cookers in the west competing for a spot in the International Chili Society (ICS) World Finals later this year. Competitors start from scratch on Saturday morning and a winner is picked for each day. There is also a people's choice award with winners receiving cash & "Virginia City-style" prizes.
