This is a fundraiser for Colorado Mesa University Athletics (CMU Maverick Club) so you can feel even better about spending an afternoon sampling craft beers. There will be over 50+ breweries represented at this event as well as live music, a raffle, and live auction.
May 13, 2017 - Bacon and Beer Classic - Denver, Colorado
The Bacon and Beer Classic is a one-of-a-kind event hosted inside baseball parks and stadiums across America. It is a premier experience focused on traditions where one’s nostalgia of baseball meets their love for bacon and beer. As the attendees walk through the stadium they will get a taste of history through the hundreds of craft brew samples and mouth-watering bacon-inspired tastes local restaurants cook up. Music will get people dancing, interactive games will bring out their inner kid, and the cooking demos and beer schools will teach everyone – from the expert to the novice – a thing or two about bacon and beer. The Annual Loaf N' Jug Boats, Bands and BBQ Festival. Includes: Steel City BrewFest - KCBS BBQ competition - People's Choice Competition - Kids Fun Zone - Hot Wing Eating Contest - Live Entertainment. The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP) is a 32 acre urban waterfront experience open to the public daily. The Riverwalk returned the river to its historic location in the heart of downtown Pueblo, after being diverted in the 1920s due to a devastating flood that destroyed much of Pueblo. The Riverwalk’s current location serves the community by revitalizing a segment of the downtown area that was previously unsightly and unusable. This urban development transforms the community and has been vital in attracting new businesses, thereby helping to stabilize the economic base of the city.

The primary objective is to develop leadership qualities in young cattlemen and women and expose them to all aspects of the beef industry. The tour will begin in Denver with a comprehensive overview of the industry. JBS Five Rivers’ Kuner Feedyard, one of the nation’s largest cattle feeding operations, a one-time capacity of over 100,000 head located in Northern Colorado. We will then tour the JBS Greeley facility, one of the nation’s largest beef packing and processing plants. Chicago is the next destination, where the group will visit the Chicago Board of Trade & OSI, Inc. one of the nation’s premiere beef patty manufacturers. The participants will then travel to the nation’s Capitol, where they will meet with their respective congressmen and senators.

As a working farm and ranch, Four Mile Historic Park was once supplied with edibles primarily from the land around the buildings, either in organized gardens or by gathering wild edibles that grew in the area. Enjoy a relaxing and unique tea experience and with scones, tea sandwiches, and desserts which are artfully prepared for you, along with two tea varieties, served by Four Mile Volunteers in full Victorian-era costume. Bring a friend and share a relaxing afternoon, harkening back to a simpler era when teatime was for indulging and socializing.
