Keystone’s Oktoberfest
Keystone, Colorado
Kicks up your heels and raise a stein with Colorado-brewed Oktoberfest beers, oompah bands and German fare that will make your mouth water!  Kids will love the chicken dancing as well as free face painting, a bounce house and performances from the Edelweiss Polka Dancers. Parents will love the Colorado craft beers that draw from German roots.  Track down some lederhosen and train up for the Das Bier Burner 5K that kicks off the day at 12pm.  The trophy for crossing the finish line is a pint of Oktoberfest bier.  As an added bonus the River Run Village stores and shops are getting in the spirit and having an Oktoberfest Tent Sale that day so treat yourself to an end of summer goodie from one of the many unique shops.

Beaver Creek's annual Oktoberfest returns with foot stompin' oom-pah-pah music, unbeatable beer and wunderbar wurst! September 1-3, 2018  A Taste of Colorado - Denver, Colorado
The state’s largest free-admission outdoor event, A Taste of Colorado draws more than 500,000 visitors annually. Five entertainment stages include national, local, and ethnic music in a variety of genres, children’s performers, and much more. Festivalgoers also can try a variety of culinary delights from more than 50 of Colorado’s favorite food establishments, including a culinary showcase. Plus, visitors can enjoy the offerings of more than 275 marketplace artisans and vendors, as well as educational programs promoting the diverse cultural and Western heritage of the region.  Festival of Mountain and Plain … A Taste of Colorado is a community celebration that is produced by and benefits Downtown Denver Events, Inc., the Downtown Denver Partnership family’s community events nonprofit organization.

 

The Festival is an opportunity for people throughout the region to come together to experience and appreciate our diverse cultural traditions, and to learn more about our state’s Western heritage. The Festival highlights visual and performing arts in addition to featuring educational programs and culinary demonstrations.  Attendance: 500,000.

September 8, 2018  10th Annual Brighton Chili Fest
Brighton, Colorado
(Formerly Denver Chili Fest).  The ultimate celebration of the green chile harvest  is returning to Brighton. Fire up your skillets and your pallets! Cash prizes and recognition for the winners of an amateur recipe competition. Prizes for original recipes using green chiles. Entries will be judged on creativity, appearance and of course, taste.

September 8, 2018  San Luis Valley Potato Festival
Monte Vista, Colorado
Chapman Park 8 am to 4 p.m. Food demonstrations and family fun activities.  This festival is a celebration of the Colorado potato harvest, Colorado Potatoes hosts the annual San Luis Valley Potato Festive in beautiful Monte Vista, CO! This year will be the Festival’s 11th Anniversary from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival then moves to finish the celebration at Ski Hi Park for more entertainment (ATV/Motorcycle show) with more food/beer available.

September 8, 2018  Boulder Valley Beer Fest - Superior, Colorado
Back again this year - the Boulder Valley Rotary Club in partnership with the Town of Superior will be hosting the 5th annual Boulder Valley Beer Fest in conjunction with Chili Fest! The Beer Fest will feature approximately 20-25 local breweries offering a wide variety of outstanding beers. General Admission to the beer fest includes an attractive souvenir mug and unlimited beer sampling. Superior Community Park.

September 8, 2018  Town of Superior Chili Fest - Superior, Colorado
Back for the 18th year, Chili Fest will feature great music, great chili samples and food, local vendors, a FREE Kids Zone area (Zip Line, Quad Trampoline, Jumpy Castles) and more!  Please note that chili samples are generously provided by the cooks and are distributed first come-first served. Get there early as the samples always go fast. Chili tasting cups will be available for purchase - Individuals pay $5 for six tasting cups, families pay $10 for twelve. BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR for $5 you may purchase a reusable chili tasting cup with attached spoon – eat all the chili you want and take home the commemorative cup! The event will also feature a "People's Choice" competition between eight of the best local restaurants!

Evergreen, Colorado
Volunteer firefighters from six mountain area fire districts will be the beneficiaries of the Annual Big Chili Cook-off.  Doors open at 10:30 a.m. to live music, over 100 chilies, an art show, children’s area, and refreshments until 6 p.m.  A firefighters’ challenge and tribute highlight the event.

Raising funds and awareness to fight Scleroderma disease, the event will be held at the BAC Appliance Center in Englewood, CO. from 6-9pm.

Manitou Springs, Colorado
Bands, Brew, and Manitou!!  The 3rd Annual Manitou Springs Heritage Brew Festival from 12-5pm at Memorial Park.  VIP entry at Noon. The event is sponsored by the Manitou Springs Heritage Center and the City of Manitou Springs. All proceeds will benefit the Manitou Springs Heritage Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
