May 30-June 8, 2018  Young Cattlemen's Conference - Washington D.C.
The primary objective is to develop leadership qualities in young cattlemen and women and expose them to all aspects of the beef industry. The tour will begin in Denver with a comprehensive overview of the industry.  JBS Five Rivers’ Kuner Feedyard, one of the nation’s largest cattle feeding operations, a one-time capacity of over 100,000 head located in Northern Colorado. We will then tour the JBS Greeley facility, one of the nation’s largest beef packing and processing plants.  Chicago is the next destination, where the group will visit the Chicago Board of Trade & OSI, Inc. one of the nation’s premiere beef patty manufacturers. The participants will then travel to the nation’s Capitol, where they will meet with their respective congressmen and senators.

April 17, 2016  Cochon555 - Washington D.C.
Cochon555, the signature culinary competition featuring five chefs cooking five heritage breed pigs in a friendly competition for a cause.  The tour is dedicated to helping Piggy Bank create the first open-source agriculture platform for heritage species while raising global awareness for socially responsible farming. The event unites consumers with local farmers, renowned chefs, prominent winemakers, restaurateurs, craft brewers and distillers in each city for a nose-to-tail culinary showdown celebrating family farms. At each event, 500 guests including notable judges will vote for the best bite amongst 2,000 pounds of awesomeness and the winning chef will be announced the “Princess or Prince of Porc”.  On June 18th, the ten regional winners of Cochon555 fly to Aspen/Snowmass to compete at Grand Cochon, a spotlight of 10 chefs, 10 pigs and the best 30 bites from tour. The winner of the grand finale walks away with the crown and title of “2016 King or Queen of Porc”.

The Organization of Women of the Americas (OWA) annual Food Festival of the Americas. This annual event is an opportunity to experience a diversity of foods, music and dance offered by the countries of the hemisphere. International cuisine, music, dancing, cultural performances, silent auction and raffles. Great networking event with diplomats in the DC area as the food is donated by the Permanent Missions and Permanent Observer Missions accredited to the Organization of American States (OAS). Proceeds from the sale of food will go to charities in the DC area and the Americas. A family friendly event, bring your kids to get their faces painted and to play on the moon bounce.

April 29, 2014  WorldWatch State of the World Symposium
Washington D.C.
The Worldwatch Institute will release the latest edition of its annual flagship publication, State of the World 2014: Governing for Sustainability, in  Washington, D.C.  The event will feature some of the book's key contributors, who will share their expertise and ideas on the three main themes of the book, discussing how the term "sustainability" should be measured, how we can attain it, and how we can prepare if we fall short. A reception with food and refreshments will follow the event.

May 18, 2013  Bite of DC -  Washington D.C.
A one-day culinary event, featuring five elite DC restaurants/chefs, five unique dishes, five creative wine and beer pairings, as well as unlimited wine and beer (in addition to the pairings), culinary demonstrations, and assorted live entertainment. BITE will be held in three sessions, on Saturday May 18th, along the waterfront at Yards Park in Washington, DC: 11a-2p, 3p-6p, 7p-10p
