164th Mississippi State Fair
Jackson, Mississippi
Once again, we have transformed the 105-acre campus at the fairgrounds into an outdoor amusement park filled with all your favorite fair foods, carnival rides, games, shows and contests...all in a safe and functional manner.  During the 2021 Mississippi State Fair, spectators and participants can find excitement in numerous livestock shows and musical entertainment for all ages from headliner artists, the Zerbini Family Circus, a new Firefighter Challenge featuring local and national firefighters, and of course, the longstanding tradition of the Biscuit Booth. Dedicated employees of the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce will be handing out complimentary homemade biscuits every night. New to the Fair this year is the addition of the first-ever ‘Mississippi Frontier Village,’ an  outdoor area featuring western-style vendors, exhibits, and entertainment!

October 6-7, 2023  Fall into Tupelo featuring Chili Fest
Tupelo, Mississippi
Fairpark in Downtown Tupelo.  The weekend starts with Chili Fest on Friday at 5:00 pm. Tickets are $10. Taste and vote for your favorite chili team! North Mississippi's hit bluegrass band "Breaking Grass" will perform at 8:00 pm.  Family Fun Day will be on Saturday from 12:00-4:00 in Fairpark. FREE games and activities including inflatables, a magic show and food trucks!  The Down on Main free concert closes out the Fall Festival on Saturday night.

October 7-8, 2023  14th Annual Mississippi Peanut Festival
Collins, Mississippi
Experience life on a working farm and enjoy Mississippi grown peanuts. More than 100 vendors with unique crafts and gifts, lots of great Southern food, and live entertainment will all be present at this year's event. Admission to the festival also gets you into the Mitchell Farms Pumpkin Patch and Maze where you can take wagon ride tours of the famr, learn about agriculture in Mississippi, pikc a free pumpkin from the patch, and explore a 6 acre maze.

October 13-14, 2023  Annual Octoberfest - Cleveland, Mississippi
Octoberfest is a celebration of barbecue, arts, music, southern cuisine and much more! A Memphis Barbeque Network sanctioned barbecue contest, this annual festival draws 20,000 + to historic downtown Cleveland. Featuring non-stop live music on 2 stages,  Attendance: 20,000.

French Camp Historic Village.  Food - Horse & Carriage Rides - Crafts - Antiques - Sorghum Making - Country Store - Music.

October 15-22, 2023  Annual Jackson County Fair
Pascagoula, Mississippi
Held annually at the Fairgrounds in Pascagoula is the best free fair in the South. The Jackson County Fair features food booths manned by non-profit church organizations, a midway stocked with rides for all ages, arts and crafts made by local citizens, live entertainment, business displays and a pavilion stocked with prize winning animals from the local FFA organizations.

October 20-21, 2023 - Southern Foodways Alliance Fall Symposium
Oxford, Mississippi
Where is the South? How do we identify its edges? Can we mark its coordinates with bourbon, catfish, and birria? Can we map our present South onto the culinary and labor landscapes that preceded it? And what does the tendency to define space with borders tell us about ourselves? Join us as we wander, map, and engage in a lively debate about this place SFA calls home.

October 21, 2023  33rd Annual Gautier Mullet & Music Festival
Gautier, Mississippi
Enjoy delicious regional food specialties, Music & Entertainment, Arts & Craft show, Regional Food, Heritage & Educational Area, Car & Motorcycle Show, Mullet Toss Contest and Kid's Area. Fun for all ages. Over 30,000 folks attended last year”s festival.   Attendance: 30,000.

October 26, 2023  Pumpkinpalooza - Starkville, Mississippi
Celebrate autumn in Starkville with this fun family event featuring a pumpkin patch with locally grown pumpkins, a pumpkin painting contest, trick or treating for kids to downtown merchants and live music.

October 30, 2021  Town-Wide Halloween Party - Tylertown, Mississippi
Get your costumes ready... the Town-wide Halloween Party from 3-5 p.m..  Participating businesses have free candy for costumed children (10 and under) starting at 3 p.m..  Standard Trick or Treating hours are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Have a safe and Happy Halloween!!!
