April 7-8, 2017  Wine Forum of Oklahoma 2017 - Stillwater, Oklahoma
Oklahoma State University.  Held every other year, the Wine Forum of Oklahoma is a fun, interactive and unique way to explore everything there is to know about wine. This event is two days packed full of educational wine seminars, wine tasting and food and wine pairings. If you love wine and have an interest in how it’s made, don’t miss this chance to sample a wide variety of whites and reds and get down to the basics of how a bottle of delicious pinot noir or zinfandel is created.

April 20-22, 2017  Oklahoma City Farm Show
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Launched in 2005 as the Southern Plains Farm Show, the show will now be billed the Oklahoma City Farm Show.  The name change is designed to clearly communicate the show’s location, and also signifies the plans for a long term partnership with the community and State Fair Park, a world-class event site.  The show continues as the premier spring agricultural and ranching event for the southern plains area, with over 300 exhibitors featuring over 1000 product lines for three big days.

The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement.  More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

January 8-9, 2016 - 20th Annual KNID Agrifest - Enid, Oklahoma
Chisholm Trail Expo Center.  KNID Agrifest, northwest Oklahoma's largest farm show, provides informative seminars and demonstrations as well as vendor booths, activities and more.  Though this Enid event is geared toward ranchers, farmers and producers, there's something for everyone.   Browse craft vendor booths for quaint and unique items, and check out the latest in agricultural technology and products at over 250 booths.  KNID Agrifest will also offer raffles, so make sure to sign up to win great prizes.

January 16, 2016 - Dr. Martin Luther King Soul Food Cook-Off
Muskogee, Oklahoma
Feast on mouthwatering soul food dishes such as sweet potato pie, collard greens, homemade yeast rolls, black-eyed peas and hot water cornbread. 

 

Browse through booths of soul food and taste the delectable creations of amazing area cooks.  The Cook-Off features various cooks competing in different categories to create the most delicious soul food dish.  Attendees will vote for their favorite and judges will award the grand prize.  This family-friendly event is guaranteed to produce fond memories and plenty of full stomachs.  Make your way to this event to learn from the seasoned cooks in the crowd and rediscover the comfort of soul food.

January 30, 2016  Chocolate Festival - Norman, Oklahoma
The Firehouse Art Center's annual Chocolate Festival, ranked third among food festivals in the United States by the Food Network, will tempt chocolate lovers with over 25,000 chocolate samples for visitors to taste. Featured in Southern Living magazine and winner of the Frontier Country Grand Award for Outstanding Food Festival in central Oklahoma, the Chocolate Festival will feature treats from over 30 area businesses from the Oklahoma City metro area. Restaurants, shops and bakeries are busy perfecting their tempting chocolate creations for the festival this year, which draws thousands.

February 13, 2016  Home Sweet Home Chocolate Festival
Muskogee, Oklahoma
Bring your sweet tooth and get ready for an evening of tempting chocolate delights at the Home Sweet Home Chocolate Festival in Muskogee.  Over 30 vendors will present chocolate cakes, chocolate candies and unique creations made of chocolate for guests to sample.  The Home Sweet Home Chocolate Festival also features live entertainment and a silent auction.

March 7, 14, 21 & 28, 2014  Land & Water Issues of the West
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum announces a symposium focusing on rural issues to be held in March. The program titled ‘Surviving the Elements: Land & Water Issues of the West’ aims to increase awareness of drought and rural issues in the American West, by focusing on stewardship and conservation of land and water. The Museum aims to make an impact and be a change agent for rural issues by creating a conversation between farmers, ranchers and their industry partners to help create solutions. At the center of this conversation will be the symposium held each Friday in March 2014 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and features world-renowned experts on several topics.
