August 6-8, 2011 58th Annual Louisiana Foodservice EXPO - New Orleans, Louisiana
The 2011 theme is "Celebration of Culinary Creations". With hundreds of booths, the EXPO is the premier foodservice gathering in the Gulf South.

August 17-21, 2011 Delcambre Shrimp Festival - Delcambre, Louisiana
Always the 3rd full weekend in August. Home to one of the area's most productive shrimp fleets. Events include a shrimp cook-off, queens pageants, fais-do-do's, food booths, carnival rides, and the blessing of the shrimp boat fleet. There's plenty of fun for "kids" of all ages and lots to see, hear, and EAT!
August 25-28, 2011 Gueydan Duck Festival - Gueydan, Louisiana
Duck and Goose Calling contests, Skeet Shooting, Hunting Dog Trials, and Decoy Carving. Great food, Nightly Bands, Junior and Senior Queens Pageants, Grand Parade, Outdoor and Indoor Cooking Contests, Auction, Arts and Crafts, Carnival.
