April 20, 2013 10th Annual Crawfish Cook-Off - Slidell, Louisiana St. Tammany's Biggest Cook-Off Event, at Fritchie Park 55+ teams boil crawfish for the title of "Best Tasting Crawfish". 35,000 pounds of crawfish boiled, 4 bands play, other foods available for purchase. Money raised to Help Fund "End of Life" Care in Our Community.

April 23, 2011 Knockin' On The Bayou Easter Festival - Cottonport, Louisiana A 50 year tradition, the highlight of the festival is the egg knocking contest, an Easter custom in which the hard-boiled eggs of other participants are tapped in order to break them, leaving your own undamaged. Other events include a parade, 5k run/walk, fishing for youths, cake bake-off, crawfish & boudin eating contests, and an Easter egg hunt.
