“Boudin Capital of the World” The three-day fest kicks off Friday evening with food and entertainment to please all ages: non-stop local music, kids’ activities, food and beverage booths, and, of course, plenty of boudin. Over the course of the weekend, you can shop local crafts, two-step to Cajun and zydeco bands, and watch the kids slide and twirl on the festival’s many carnival rides. And what’s a food fest without contests? Watch babies cruise on all fours at the Diaper Derby, or dare to eat the most boudin in 5 minutes at the Boudin Eating Contest!

Hospice Foundation of the South 12th Annual Crawfish Cook-Off at Fritchie Park in Slidell. All the crawfish you can eat. Crawfish boiled till 5:00pm!! All crawfish must be consumed on premises. Live Music. Adults are $30 in advance, $35 at the gate. Children 10 and under are $10. Gates open 11am until 6pm. 60 teams cooking crawfish.
