Festival of Gingerbread
Fort Wayne, Indiana
Every year, 10,000 visitors enjoy more than 100 fanciful gingerbread creations on display, created by bakers of all ages!

7th Annual Watermelon Drop
Vincennes, Indiana
Ring In The New Year By celebrating the Annual "Watermelon Drop" and the "New Year's Eve BBQ Cook-off" in downtown Vincennes! Beginning at 9:00pm spectators are invited to gather at the Riverfront Pavilion to enjoy music, food and a beer/wine garden. At the stroke of midnight the 18-foot, 500-pound watermelon will rise in the sky and drop fifteen Knox County watermelons to mark the year 2015 while fireworks simultaneously mark the event.  Vincennes and Knox County are well-known for its multi-million dollar melon crops shipped throughout the nation.
