July 1-4, 2013  Shoals Catfish Festival - Shoals, Indiana
There is literally something for everyone: sporting events, contests, parade, fireworks, fishing contest, cooking contest, and catfish served up piping hot in the food court.

JULY 4, 2013 - There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 18, 2013  Celebrity Chef Tour -  Roanoke, Indiana
Benefitting the James Beard Foundation, featuring Award-Winning Chefs.

July 19-20, 2013  Wine, Brew & Bar-B-Que Too - New Palestine, Indiana
Teams will compete for $10,000 in prize money at the Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event. There will be Indiana wines and brews, as well as live entertainment all day.

 

July 26-27, 2013  19th Annual Hot Dog Festival - Frankfort, Indiana
Hot Dog Tent, Arts & Crafts, Dachshund Races, Entertainment, Flea Market, Food Booths. Organizers were inspired by the school mascot, the Hot Dog.

July 26-28, 2013  Pierogi Festival - Whiting, Indiana
Pierogis, polka, parades and more. Meet Mr. Pierogi and friends! Attendance: 200,000

August 1-3, 2013  Owensville Watermelon Festival & Parade - Owensville, Indiana
Come out for rides, food, crafts, watermelon pageants, bingo, raffles, bands and a variety show!

August 2-18, 2013  Indiana State Fair - Indianapolis, Indiana
Celebrating the Hoosier Spirit, the Fair includes Family Fun Park, Livestock Barns, Entertainment, Machinery Field, Parades, Midway, Culinary Stage, Antique Tractor Show, Brewer's Cup Competition, and Taste of the Wild Cookout, as well as World's Largest Male Hog, Giant Pumpkin, Giant Watermelon, Giant Tomato, Smoothie Blend-off, and Celebrity Milking Contests. Attendance: 975,000.

August 3, 2013  Watermelon Festival & "Great American Grill-Off" - Vincennes, Indiana
Celebrate our community's rich agriculture and fabulous watermelons! The day's events include children's pageants, children's games, music and great food.

August 6-10, 2013  Sweet Corn Festival - Oakland City, Indiana
Celebrate one of this area's bounties with a parade, games, carnival rides, crafts, beauty pageant, live entertainment, fried chicken dinners and of course corn on the cob.

August 8-10, 2013  17th Annual Pickle Festival - St. Joe, Indiana
Parades, fireworks, competitions, kids' activities, dozens of food vendors, live music, pickle recipe contest, pickle factory tours and much more.  (also: www.sechlerspickles.com/pickle/fest.html )

August 16-17, 2013  Madison Ribberfest - Madison, Indiana
A two-day festival along the scenic Ohio River with blues music, statewide BBQ cook-off, activities for kids and more!

August 17, 2013  Taste of Kokomo - Kokomo, Indiana
This year we will have over 25 restaurants and five bands in Foster Park. It's the first year for this exciting move and with it brings free admission to the public!  The Event Tent returns!  Coney Dog Throwdown: Barker's B & K, Cone Palace, Harvey Hinklemeyers, Jamie's Soda Fountain, Julianno's and Yogi's will throwdown to see who has the best coney in town! Come out and vote for your favorite!  Hot Wing Contest: Krissy Boyd will defend her title! Six wings, burning hot, who can eat them the fastest. Call us if you would like to be a contender!  Pie Eating Contest: Mom's Homemade Pies will bring their pies down to the Taste of Kokomo! Try a bite and see who can eat their chocolate cream pie the fastest! No hands or forks allowed! Call us if you would like to be a contender!  Gourmet Burger: Amateur burger cook-off. Do you make a great burger! Prove it! Call us to get in the competition!  Kids Korner: Acacia Academy will host the Kids Korner this year! Come down and see what Acacia has to offer!

 

August 17, 2013  Wabash Herb Fest - Wabash, Indiana
Held at the Paradise Spring Historical Park, this unique festival offers educational seminars, herbs, flowers, garden decor and other crafts.

August 22-25, 2013  42nd Annual Swiss Wine Festival - Vevay, Indiana
Salute the cultural heritage of Switzerland County with Indiana wines, culinary delights, entertainment on three stages, grape stomps, canoe racing and riverboat cruises on the scenic Ohio River.

August 23-25, 2013  Indianapolis GreekFest - Indianapolis, Indiana
Authentic Greek cuisine, live music/dancing, bazaar, cooking demonstrations, church tours, and more!

August 24, 2013  2013 Taste of the Gardens - Elkhart, Indiana
This unique event, located at the Wellfield Botanic Gardens, combines fine art with the finest in culinary art. In its first year it brought record crowds to enjoy artists' work, music, and the cuisine of area restaurants, all within the beautiful setting of the gardens.

Aug 30-Sept 2, 2013  22nd Annual Ligonier Marshmallow Festival - Ligonier, Indiana
The Labor Day weekend festival celebrates marshmallows, one of Noble County's major products. Activities revolve around the marshmallow theme. Parades, arts and crafts, contests, rides, entertainment, car show and lots of delicious festival food.

August 30-Sept 2, 2013  Marshall County Blueberry Festival - Plymouth, Indiana
Blueberry products like Blueberry Pie, Blueberry Brats, Blueberry Ice Cream, Blueberry Donuts or just plain fresh Blueberries! Family-friendly atmosphere and Midwestern hospitality that attract over 500,000 people every year to blueberry country.

July 20, 2012  Enshrinement Ribs Cook-Off & Downtown Block Party
South Bend, Indiana
The College Football Hall of Fame celebrates its newest class, taking it to the streets in downtown South Bend. Don't miss the tailgate village atmosphere with the Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned Ribs Cook-Off, live music, and a cornhole tournament, followed by spectacular fireworks at dusk!

 

July 20-22, 2012  17th Annual Middle Eastern Festival - Indianapolis, Indiana
Great food, music, dancing, children's games, marketplace, and tours of St. George Orthodox Christian Church.

July 21, 2012  Clabber Girl BBQ Fest Challenge - Terre Haute, Indiana
The Annual Clabber Girl Brickyard BBQ Fest held each July will be spicing things up this year and 2012 will mark the name change of the event to the Clabber Girl BBQ Fest Challenge. It will be held on July 21 in the Clabber Girl Festival Marketplace located at Ninth Street between Wabash Avenue and Cherry Street bordering Clabber Girl and Hulman Center.  The event will showcase a variety of challenges including the Gladiator Challenge, Terre Haute Firefighters Water Ball Challenge, and the first ever Chef's Challenge that will feature local community members. the best BBQ dishes to a festival crowd of race fans and BBQ lovers.  Festival-goers will also enjoy musical acts, a beer garden, food vendors, and children's entertainment.

August 11, 2012  Mansfield Village Watermelon Festival - Rockville, Indiana
Cool off with a slice of ice cold watermelon or a cool watermelon drink. Shop for crafts, antiques and flea market gems. Indiana grown melons at the Welcome Center of Mansfield Parke. Delicious food available all throughout town. Seed spitting contest & watermelon eating contest.
