March 4-8, 2013  National School Breakfast Week 2013 - Nationwide
National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) was launched in 1989 to raise awareness of the availability of the School Breakfast Program (SBP) to all children. Each year, the School Nutrition Association (SNA) helps schools to celebrate NSBW with a fun theme – this year it is School Breakfast--Go For The Gold.

March 19, 2013  'AgDay' National Agriculture Day - Nationwide
National Ag Day is a day to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture. Every year, producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, government agencies and countless other across America join together to recognize the contributions of agriculture.

April 22, 2013  Earth Day - Worldwide
The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws soon followed. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

April 27, 2013  Wine Extravaganza - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Start in the Plaza Shops at 210 Sherman Avenue.  Then follow the wine map for an afternoon of wine tasting delights!

May 4, 2013  5th Annual Buttermilk Festival - Kamiah, Idaho
Check out what's churning at this fun family event. Attendees will receive a bottle of cream to make their own butter. Buttermilk pancake breakfast, vendors, music and more.

June 1, 2013  19th Annual Mountain Brewers' Beer Fest - Idaho Falls, Idaho
Join over 6500 other thirsty beer lovers at the 19th annual Mountain Brewers Beer Fest. There will be hundreds of beers and proceeds benefit local charities!

June 9, 2013  Savor Idaho - Boise, Idaho
In its 5th year, the Idaho Grape Growers and Wine Producers Commission will be hosting Savor Idaho, Idaho’s premier wine and food event. The event features a vast array of Idaho wineries and restaurants. This is a unique opportunity to savor the best Idaho has to offer in wine and food.

June 12-15, 2013  Emmett Cherry Festival - Emmett, Idaho
Held since the 1930's to celebrate the abundance of our valley. Cherry pit spitting contest, pie eating contest, entertainment, food, carnival, parade, orchard tours.
Attendance: 40,000.

June 22-23, 2013  Terrace Lakes Resort Wine & Art Festival - Garden Valley, Idaho
19th Annual Wine & Art festival located on the green in the mountains of Garden Valley. Full service restaurant, lounge,pro shop & geothermal pool.  Accomodations located throughout the valley and on premise.  75 vendors. Beer, food & wine tasting.  Free parking & free admission.

June 27, 2013  8th Annual Sandpoint Summer Sampler - Sandpoint, Idaho
Come "taste" the flavors of our area at a street party you won't want to miss! Enjoy the Litehouse sponsored cooking competition where local chefs battle for the "best of" with spices and ingenuity.

June 27-30, 2013  2013 Northwest Ribfest - Meridian, Idaho
For 4 days, Meridian will explode into life with non-stop cooking and family-friendly events. The competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and will feature some of the nation's top barbeque teams. There will also be live music, hot air balloons, beer and wine gardens and a whole lot more.

Attracting over 200,000 visitors, the fair offers agricultural exhibits, free entertainment, carnival, parade, rodeos, & delicious fair foods. Attendance: 219,000
 

 

October 10-13, 2013  Trailing of the Sheep Festival - Ketchum & Hailey, Idaho
A cultural heritage festival relating to the history of sheep ranching in Idaho.  Includes - Cooking with Lamb workshop;  For the Love of Lamb;  SheepTales Gathering;  Lamb Feast at the Folklife Fair featuring the Valley's best chefs and restaurants;  Sheepherding Storytelling Lamb Barbecue;  Fiber workshop; Fiber Fest;  A Sheepherder's Ball with the Hhot Club of Cowtown;  Folklife Fair featuring demonstrations, music, dancers, displays, activities, artisans and shops;  Parade, featuring 1,500 sheep down Main St., Ketchum, Idaho.

June 16, 2012  Summer's Here BrewFest - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
BrewFest will be held at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds and will feature over 30 local and regional craft beers, food, and loads of FUN.

August 4, 2012  Soul Food Extravaganza - Boise, Idaho
Now in its 20th year, the festival is a celebration of our diversity with a fabulous variety of soul food and a profusion of entertainment. Jazz, gospel and hip hop music; kids' activities, arts, vendors, dominos tournament, beer garden.

August 5, 2012  20th Annual Raspberry Festival - Cottonwood, Idaho
This all-day event features fun activities for the whole family, including a $5 Pancake Breakfast, fresh Raspberry Shortcake, BBQ beef sandwiches, an Arts & Crafts Fair, live music, a Kids' Carnival, hand-crafting demonstrations, new and used book sales, Fun Run & Walk, Show 'n Shine Car Show, Quilt Show, Chapel and Museum Tours and more. Attendance: 3,000.

August 17-18, 2012  Wallace Heritage Huckleberry Festival - Wallace, Idaho
Stroll the Historic Streets of Wallace, tour a silver mine or visit the Oasis Bordello Museum during a fun-filled weekend. Watch the judging of the Annual Huckleberry Bake-Off and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Huckleberry pancake breakfast, 5K run, arts and crafts, historic skills demonstrations and music all weekend.

August 17-26, 2012  Western Idaho Fair - Boise, Idaho
The Fair features 4-H and FFA competitive exhibitions, showcasing Idaho crops, livestock, and arts; entertainment; agricultural excellence sholarship program; and much more. Wild Contests include the Bigelow Tea Beverage Throwdown, BOB-e-Que Battle, Cheezapalooza, Cupcake Combat, Fleischmann's Yeast Sensational Sandwich Bread Contest, Giant Pumpkin & Watermelon Contest, Milkshake Madness, Salsa Bowl Contest, Women's Skillet Toss, and World Onion Tour.
 

 

September 15, 2012  Idaho Spud Day - Shelley, Idaho
Annual Idaho Spud Day is a country-style gala celebration of the Idaho potato offering fun for visitors of all ages. Events include a parade, music, demolition derby, free baked potato lunch at noon, Dutch oven cook-off, World championship potato picking, and Spud Tug.

September 21-23, 2012  Sun Valley Harvest Festival - Sun Valley , Idaho
Sun Valley, Idaho will host hundreds of foodies traveling far and wide to enjoy unique recipes, learn from the pros and soak in the atmosphere at the premier food event of the season.  With a sweet spot for locally grown and harvested products, the Festival features everything from herbs and vegetables to wines and spirits regionally produced in Idaho and the Northwest.  The Festival will also highlight Sun Valley's extensive and eclectic restaurant scene of organic cuisine and local culinary delights. October 11-14, 2012  Trailing of the Sheep Festival - Ketchum, Idaho
A cultural heritage festival relating to the history of sheep ranching in Idaho. Includes Cooking with lamb; For the Love of Lamb Folklife Fair Lamb Feast; Sheep Parade Barbecue.  Sheepdog herding trials; Music, folklife fair,  parade and a chance to trail with local herders and their sheep through downtown Ketchum.

July 17, 2010  Cowboy Gathering Dutch Oven Cook-off & Ja-Mai-Ca Down the River Homemade Raft Race - White Bird, Idaho
Food, fun & music! Cook-off will follow the International Dutch Oven Society rules. Raft competition will consist of 4 person teams with prizes for the fastest time and the best themed boat.

September 4, 2010  ICHA Wine Tasting & Art Show - Nampa, Idaho
