Annual Sugar Grove Corn Boil
Sugar Grove, Illinois
The Corn Boil, held in Volunteer Park on Main Street in Sugar Grove, generates approximately 15,000 visitors. Fireworks, 5K run/walk, medallion hunt, kids zone, car show, and Corn Boil Cooking Challenge!
August 10-12, 2018 - Chicago Hot Dog Fest
Take a bite out of Chicago history at the 6th Annual Chicago Hot Dog Fest, presented by the Chicago History Museum. The Fest returns to Lincoln Park this August to include a full lineup of bands, hot dog history speakers and the star of the event - Vienna Beef hot dogs prepared in various regional and ethnic styles by the city’s top hot dog vendors. The Chicago-style hot dog is second to none – celebrating over 100 years as a much loved and celebrated part of Chicago’s local cuisine. The Chicago Hot Dog Fest celebrates becoming the largest festival in the world to honor the red hot. Fri, Sat, Sun, 11am to 9pm. FREE ($5 Suggested Gate Donation Requested). Attendance: 30,000.

30th Annual Casey Popcorn Festival
Located in the century-old Fairview Park, the Casey Popcorn Festival has earned its reputation as the Premier Family Festival in a two-state area. Music fills the air almost continuously as live bands offer oldies, classic rock, country, and southern Gospel. Kids entertainers such as magicians and animal shows are featured, as well as a huge carnival, more than 60 craft booths, a car show, festival food, and FREE popcorn, the official snack food of Illinois.
