May 10, 2019  10th Annual Beer Under Glass  - Chicago, Illinois
Illinois Craft Beer Week kicks off with Beer Under Glass, a nature-infused craft beer festival and fundraiser at Garfield Park Conservatory, one of the world's largest and most stunning plant conservatories.  A cornerstone of Illinois Craft Beer Week, Beer Under Glass, now in its 9th year, is hosted by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild and the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance (GPCA). Guests are invited to sample brews from more than 100 Illinois and out-of-state craft breweries while enjoying exclusive, after-hours access to the Conservatory's indoor collections and outdoor gardens. Food and beverages from some of Chicago's best local restaurants and food trucks is available throughout the Conservatory.

Spring will be in full swing when the glorious grape, as well as smooth tunes, artisans and tasty edibles, take center stage at this 2nd annual wine happening. Lincoln Park Wine Fest will again transform the tranquil northside pocket park into an open-air market featuring wine and food pavilions. The highlight will be ticketed wine tastings where scores of varietals will be showcased. Wine connoisseurs will also appreciate hearing the expertise of brand ambassadors and sommeliers. And enhancing the fest will be a chilled live music lineup, food-wine pairings, fine artists, and the products/services of wine-related vendors

May 17-19, 2019 - Long Grove Chocolate Fest - Long Grove, Illinois
The Annual Chocolate Fest sponsored by Long Grove Confectionery presents three straight days of vintage village charms, family entertainment and the region's most innovative chocolate creations - everything from Chocolate Beer to Chocolate Pudding Pie Pops.  This year, organizers will unveil a new Chocolate Experience Tent with chocolate demonstrations, artisans and a dipping fountain in addition to bringing back timeless fan favorites like the Chocolate Scavenger Hunt, the classic carnival, the chocolate pie eating contest and the live music stage.  Chocolate specialties being planned exclusively for Chocolate Fest include novelties like chocolate beer, S'mores on a stick, as well as time-proven standards like chocolate-dipped fruits, hand-crafted chocolate fudge, chocolate cake and much more.

May 29-June 7, 2019  Young Cattlemen's Conference - Chicago, Illinois
The primary objective is to develop leadership qualities in young cattlemen and women and expose them to all aspects of the beef industry. The tour will begin in Denver with a comprehensive overview of the industry.  JBS Five Rivers’ Kuner Feedyard, one of the nation’s largest cattle feeding operations, a one-time capacity of over 100,000 head located in Northern Colorado. We will then tour the JBS Greeley facility, one of the nation’s largest beef packing and processing plants.  Chicago is the next destination, where the group will visit the Chicago Board of Trade & OSI, Inc. one of the nation’s premiere beef patty manufacturers. The participants will then travel to the nation’s Capitol, where they will meet with their respective congressmen and senators.

May 31-June 2, 2019 - Taste of Mexico - Chicago, Illinois
Chicago has a global reputation for its top Michelin and Zagat-rated restaurants. Perhaps because of the huge Mexican population, Mexican cuisine ranks high on the list of Zagat Chicago favorites. No matter how you slice it, the fact remains: Chicagoans are absolutely crazy for Mexican food.    Authentic Mexican food is the event's main focus. The cities' and the regions' award winning Mexican restaurants and chefs will set up outdoor kitchens in the events Restaurant Row and serve up small plates of their signature dishes for bargain prices. The culinary emphasis in Restaurant Row is authenticity.    The event features three stages: a Main Stage with big entertainment, a Culinary Stage where participating chefs will demonstrate recipes and compete for Top Chef award, and a Showcase Stage where dance troupes, orchestras and brass bands from area high schools or colleges perform.

Lincoln Park Greek Fest will again bring the aromas, sounds, tastes and traditions of Greece to all Chicagoans in June. This popular annual cultural celebration on the grounds of St. George Greek Orthodox Church will serve up an authentic dose of “filoxenia” (Greek hospitality and generosity of spirit) along with flavorful food, great music, dancing and pure fun.

Brocton Spring Festival and Truck/tractor Pulls.  Family event featuring draft horses, ponies, and mules; shown in halter, team, cart, unicorn, and more. There will also be a fish fry, parade, games and food.

Milk Days has grown from a small hay wagon stage with street dancing to a week of 30 plus different events, attended by thousands of people.

May 27-28, 2017  Greek & Mediterranean Wine Festival
Chicago, Illinois
Think of it as a pairing of grapes and gyros. Or grapes and moussaka. When Greektown Mediterranean Wine Fest makes its alluring debut this spring in Chicago's West Loop, scores of European wines will be celebrated along with tasty dishes from the neighborhood's iconic Greek restaurants.  This classy Hellenic-themed happening is designed for wine and food connoisseurs be they newbies or those with more discriminating tastes. A cornerstone of the fest will be daily afternoon wine tastings (from 2:00-6:00 p.m.) where ticket holders can sample up to 15 varietals with the purchase of a $40 tasting pass.

May 2, 2015  Green City Market Opening Day - Chicago, Illinois
Chicago's nationally renowned Green City Market will host top chefs from around the country when it opens its 17th outdoor market season Saturday, May 2. Green City Market, located in Lincoln Park between Clark and Stockton Drive (approximately 1817 N. Clark) provides organic and sustainably raised products for well over 200,000 shoppers annually including Chicago's top chefs, residents and visitors.  In honor of the 2015 James Beard Foundation Awards, visiting chefs will gather and be joined by Chicago's chef community at Green City Market beginning at 9:30 a.m. The market opens at 7 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday.
