Taste of Crowley
Crowley, Louisiana
Crowley Main Street will host the annual Taste of Crowley at Crowley City Hall, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Taste of Crowley is an annual community event to promote Crowley’s main street district and cultural assets, as part of the Louisiana State Main Street program.  This year’s event will feature live entertainment, an art exhibit by local artists, food samples from local restaurants, a Christmas Wreath Raffle, and a silent auction.  Live Music.

November 7, 2015  Annual Mirliton Festival - New Orleans, Louisiana
What started as a neighborhood potluck with several mirliton casseroles has grown to a festival with lots of great music, food and local art. The mirliton (chayote) is a member of the squash family that is eaten as a vegetable.

November 7-8, 2015  Giant Omelette Celebration - Abbeville, Louisiana
The cooking of a 5,000 Egg Omelette! Authentic Cajun Food, Art Show, Musical Entertainment, Antique Car Show, Kid's World, and much more!

November 14, 2015  Southern Soul Food Showdown
Jeanerette, Louisiana
Mon Ami.  Finger licking Southern Soul Food cook-off. Family oriented food festival, fais-do-do, arts and crafts, refreshments and more. Held annually on the second Saturday in November.

November 14, 2015  12th Annual Gumbo CookOff - Crowley, Louisiana
$5 All You Can Eat!  Gumbo Ready at Noon!  Do you think you’ve got the best gumbo? Prove it!  Join us as a competitor in the Annual Gumbo Cook-Off!  Live Music.

November 20-21, 2015  5th Annual Beef Tongue Cook-Off
Eunice, Louisiana
Food cook off and Barn Dance.  Come out to Lakeview Park to see who is the Beef-Tongue Master!  Entry is free for campers.  Registration for non-campers is $10 per team The winner will receive a weekend RV stay!  People's Choice tasting will be from 1:00pm till Barn Dance Saturday night 8pm to 12am. Family friendly, all ages welcome.  $10 Door for adults, $5 for kids age 4 - 18. Camp for 2 nights and receive 2 free tickets to dance.

November 22, 2015  Oak Street Po-boy Festival
New Orleans, Louisiana
Presented by Abita Brewery, featuring over 30 food vendors serving the best-tasting po-boys in New Orleans, two stages with live music, panel discussions covering the history of the po-boy and the Oak Street corridor, and an expanded Kid's World.  The Oak Street Po-Boy Festival (formerly the New Orleans Po-Boy Preservation Festival) was named the Best Food Festival by Gambit readers for the third year in a row! Thank you to everyone who voted for us, and we can't wait to see you at this year's Festival!  Attendance: 50,000.

Located in the charming town of Benton, Louisiana, a fun filled day is planned from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is something for everyone to enjoy featuring a 5k run and health walk, children's area, inflatables, face painting, crafts, children's art contest, Cookie & Candy Contest, photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, live entertainment, children's archery, BB gun shooting, horseback rides, wildlife, heritage village exhibitors, arts & craft vendors, food court, Christmas parade and more. Free parking and shuttle service available at the Bossier Parish Court House on Benton Road and Burt Blvd. beginning at 9:30 am.
