Georgia's Largest New Years Eve Celebration. Music - Fireworks - Family Fun!  At the countdown to midnight, a Stuffed Possum is lowered upside-down in a lighted cage.

December 1-2, 2017  ChristmasFest - Toccoa, Georgia
The city of Toccoa welcomes the Christmas season the first weekend of December with the annual ChristmasFest in the Historic Downtown area. Just in time to kick off the season, this magical event is staged from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday and continues Saturday and is guaranteed to ignite the Christmas spirit for all who attend.

December 1-3, 2017  Christmas on the River - Savannah, Georgia
It’s a holiday celebration on Historic River Street! Rousakis Plaza will be full of regional arts & crafts exhibitors with holiday gifts and stocking stuffers to check off of your Christmas list. Music and local entertainment will take place on the Arbor Stage throughout the weekend leading up to Savannah’s Lighted Christmas Parade.

With live music and family activities all day long on the 31st. More than 100,000 party-goers in attendance each year watch the 800 pound Peach make its 138-foot descent at midnight, The Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta is the place to be to ring in the New Year!   Attendance: 100,000.

December 31, 2017  5th Annual “Up the Cup” Countdown
Savannah, Georgia
Raise a toast to the New Year in true Savannah-Style at the Savannah Waterfront Association’s 4th Annual “Up the Cup” Countdown. The New Year’s Eve celebration will take place Saturday,December 31 from 8pm-12am on historic River Street.  Don’t miss out on a digital light show, countdown clock, and a non-traditional “ball drop” with a Savannah twist! Countdown the final seconds of 2016 as we raise (not drop!) our six foot to-go cup to the New Year! The “Up the Cup” countdown will start right before midnight followed by a firework display to officially ring in 2018!

December 31, 2017  Cherry Blossom Ball Drop - Macon, Georgia
Macon, Georgia, "Cherry Blossom Capital of the World", counts down the last minutes of the year with a Cherry Blossom Ball Drop! The ball, made of metal blossoms covered with pink lights, decends from a tower in the heart of the historic downtown.
