Dawsonville, Georgia
This festival explores Dawson County's history during the prohibition era when liquor was illegal and the Great Depression of the 1930's when running moonshine through the Georgia Mountains was a way of life. Savannah, Georgia
Presented by the American Association of Cereal Chemists, the syposium brings together scientists, food engineers, crop producers, suppliers and industry experts to discuss the latest research and technological developments in the grain-based food industry.

October 25, 2016  Great Pumpkin Caper - Buchanan, Georgia
Held on the square in Buchanan around the Historic Courthouse. Features over 100 pumpkins, food, children’s games and safe trick or treating. There will be a costume parade this year instead of a  contest.  All kids are winners.  Beginning at 6 p.m.

October 28-30, 2016  Oktoberfest - Savannah, Georgia
Oktoberfest has been rescheduled for October 28 – 30th due to Hurricane Mathew.  It’s a Wiener Dog Racing, Bratwurst Tasting, Oompah Dancing celebration at the 33rd Annual Oktoberfest on Historic River Street!

October 29, 2016  56th Annual Georgia Sweet Potato Festival
Ocilla, Georgia
Arts and crafts, parade, motorcycle rally, antique car & tractor show, 1 mile fun run & 5K run, NBHA Jamboree equestrian event, sweet potato cooking contest and lots of other fun events.

October 29-30, 2016  Toccoa Harvest Festival - Toccoa, Georgia
As always, the Festival emphasis is on homemade, handmade, home baked and homegrown items.  Two stages are set up for entertainment for the weekend. Downtown shops and restaurants are open, and several activities are available for children. The festival offers regional and international foods, a Classic Car cruise-in, a petting zoo, horse and buggy rides, puppet shows, farm displays, the Currahee Artist Guild's art exhibit and sale. There are a variety of food options, from complete dinners to snacks.  The festival features hundreds of craftsmen, performing dancers, jazz, rock and roll, and country music, an antique and classic car show. Children and youth activities include rides, face painting, rock climbing, moon walk and more.

October 10, 2015 Chili Cookoff! - Canton, Georgia
You asked for it! The Chili Cook Off returns to Cannon Park. There is a $10 fee to enter your famous chili in the contest. The judging is “blind” and in addition to the traditional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, there is a renowned “People’s Choice” winner. That’s right…even if you don’t enter, you can come on out, sample an array of yummy chilies, and even get a vote!

October 24, 2015  Atlanta Eats Live! A Salute to Chefs
Alpharetta, Georgia
LIVE music, LIVE cooking demos, and LIVE rock star chefs. Attendees will eat and drink from 40 handpicked restaurants and enjoy great live & local music.  Building on the success of last years Atlanta Eats Live, when thousands of food lovers joined us to enjoy incredible food and a rock n roll atmosphere, we’re inviting more restaurants, more top Atlanta chefs and making sure everyone enjoys dinner and stays for the live music & party afterwards. The event will again directly benefit the restaurant community – with a portion of proceeds going to The Giving Kitchen charity.

Savannah, Georgia
Food Day - a national movement aimed at promoting healthy, sustainable, affordable, and just food systems in America.  The national observance of Food Day is October 24th. Here in Savannah, the Savannah Chatham Food Policy Council, a coalition of local organizations focused on our local food system; and Well FED, a local organization and magazine centered around food, dining, and healthy living, will be hosting a Food Day Festival on November 2

October 4, 2014  The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off
Conyers, Georgia
The event is expected to draw over 250 teams from across the U.S. It is the premier chili cook-off east of Texas. Total attendance last year exceeded 10,000 people. The cook-off has something for all ages, from great music to great food and games for the whole family.
Attendance: 10,000.

October 4-11, 2014  Battle of the Burgers Restaurant Week
Atlanta, Georgia
Dine at one of the participating restaurants during the Restaurant Week, October 4th – 11th, and get $5 off a ticket to Battle of the Burgers (see Oct 18).  Some of the restaurants are offering Restaurant Week specials.  Benefiting Embraced Atlanta which provides used wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches to those in need.

October 18, 2014  Battle of the Burgers - Atlanta, Georgia
Battle of the Burgers is Atlanta's beefiest festival.  Restaurants battle it off for the best burger title in Atlanta.  Burgers, beer, live music and great competition make this festival a must-do!

October 25, 2014  Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off - Canton, Georgia
Join us for the first Main Street Inferno and Fall Festival.  It all starts at 10am at the last Farmer's Market of the season with trick or treating, a scarecrow contest, and a costume competition. Then stick around till 1pm for the Main Street Inferno Chili Cook-Off! It will be free to enter the cook-off with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize, plus people's choice! We will have live music, vendors, and lots of great food, in addition to some great chili! Tasting tickets will be sold at $5 and $10, which will determine the People's Choice Award!

October 5-13, 2013  Vinings Restaurant Week - Atlanta, Georgia
Dig into culinary delights this fall during the second annual Vinings Restaurant Week presented by Vinings Jubilee. The lifestyle center will spotlight the Vinings neighborhood's best restaurants and excellent cuisine from local favorites. Atlantans and visitors are invited to fill their plates with a plethora of dining options at three affordable price points of $15, $25 and $30.

October 20-22, 2013  World Tea East - Atlanta, Georgia
World Tea East will not be held in 2014 and we plan to return to the northeast US in the fall of 2015.

October 21-26, 2013  The Speakeasy Cocktail Festival - Atlanta, Georgia
The Speakeasy Cocktail Festival is Atlanta's first ever multi-day event celebrating the past, the progression and the artistry of the entire culture surrounding hooch and its evolution to the cocktails of today. Straight from the Prohibition era 'speakeasies' with secret compartments and drop-shelves filled with alcohol, the 1920's resurrects for a week long celebration. To be held annually, this international trade and consumer event is an innovative approach to exploring the world of cuisine, cigars and cocktails, inaugurating a large-scale tribute with the most respected industry goers and enthusiasts.

October 27, 2012  4th Annual Briar Patch Arts Festival & Wine Tasting
Eatonton, Georgia
Jewelry, Painting, Photography, Baking, Sewing, Quilting and more. We are also proud to sponsor the Georgia Wineries wine tasting and sales event. This portion of the festival showcases the many wonderful and award winning wineries that Georgia has to offer. The Festival takes place in historic Eatonton right in the heart of Georgia's Lake Country on Lakes Oconee and Sinclair.  Eatonton is the birthplace of Uncle Remus author of Brer Rabbit, Alice Walker author of The Color Purple and Truett Cathey founder of Chick-Fil-A as well as being a showcase of some of Georgia's most beautiful Antebellum homes.
