Annual Blessing of the Fleet
Darien, Georgia
The Blessing of the Fleet is an annual festival that the Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce hosts to celebrate our biggest industry, shrimping. This three day fun-filled event consists of an art show, various food and drink vendors, arts and crafts, a YMCA 5K, children's activities, a classic car show, nightly live entertainment and a marine parade.  On Sunday we Bless our shrimp-boat captains with a safe and prosperous season. Darien's Blessing of the Fleet is the largest on the East Coast! This weekend long festival is a great celebration of food, family and fun that usually draws in a crowd of 30,000+ throughout the weekend. We welcome you to come and join in our fellowship!  Attendance: 30,000.

April 13-15, 2018  82nd Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival
Atlanta, Georgia
An Atlanta staple for more than 80 years, there is something for everyone at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. Virtually every kind of art imaginable is represented at the festival, with a nationally renowned-juried Fine Artist Market that includes sculpture, paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography and much more.  Music is an essential feature of the weekend’s festivities.  And when you get hungry, follow the delicious smells, of funnel cakes, gyros, crab cakes, onion rings, kettle corn and much, much more!

April 14, 2018  National Grits Festival - Warwick, Georgia
Downtown Warwick, the Grits Capital of Georgia.  Paraade, Arts, Crafts, Food Vendors, Entertainment and much much more!!!

April 15, 2018  23rd Annual Classic City Brew Fest - Athens, Georgia
The annual Classic City Brew Fest offers a huge variety of beers to sample from all over the world.  300 rare, regional and world craft beers. Cask Ale Pavilion with 20+ unique, one-off real ales. Details on beer brewing and styles are stressed at the event. Proceeds benefit the Athens Area Humane Society.

April 19-21, 2018 - BBQ & Blues Festival - Barnesville, Georgia
Join us for our annual BBQ event where we will have food, fun, and entertainment!  The event is sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association, KCBS and GBC, and was declared a State Championship Cook-off by Governor Sonny Perdue in 2009. Last year, 38 pro cook teams competed in the event, which was also an automatic qualifier for the World Food Championships held in Las Vegas, NV.

April 22, 2018  Earth Day - Worldwide
The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement.  Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

April 22, 2018  Taste of Richland - Richland, Georgia
A celebration of South Georgia's farm-to-table and field-to-glass producers. Sample some of the best that South Georgia's farmers are offering. Meet the chefs, winemakers, distillers and brewmasters who will be on hand to share tastes and toasts with you.  The Taste of Richland is featuring artisan, award-winning, locally grown, all-natural products such as cheese, ice cream, chocolate, olive oil, fair trade coffee, nuts, specialty meats, sugar cane syrup, juices, wine, beer and bites from local restaurants.

April 26-29, 2018  41st Annual Vidalia Onion Festival - Vidalia, Georgia
Cooking School, Miss and Little Miss Vidalia Onion Pageants, Onion Maze, Onion Cook-off, Tasting Competition, The Onion Run, parades, carnival, rodeo, street dance, onion shootgun shoot, Dutch oven cooking demonstration, onion eating contest, Vidalia Onion Chili Cook-Off, Onion Dance, and more.

Spring Chicken Festival Chicken Cook-Off
Gainesville, Georgia
The cook off consists of two divisions: Professional and Backyard Bar-B-Q. Prizes will be awarded in both categories. The Grand Champion will receive $1000 and proudly possess the coveted Chicken City Cup for one year.  The Spring Chicken Festival will kick off  with a 5k, Chicken City Parade, Cook-off, live entertainment, Re-Hatched upcycled art market and kids zone!  The parade will include floats, vintage cars, and is sure to have some interesting chicken decorations.  Participants are encouraged to incorporate recycling when possible. The parade route will include the Gainesville Square.  Back by popular demand  "Re-Hatched" an upcycled/recycled art/craft market. There will be artists featuring creations made from recycled or repurposed materials.

April 28, 2018 - Canton BBQ & Brews Festival - Canton, Georgia
BBQ and Brews was originally created to be a once a year festival in Canton, Ga. that would support a local non-profit called #ForCanton. The first festival was held in 2016 and included a Georgia Barbecue Association competition, BBQ Vendors and over 30 different craft beers on tap. Over 12,000 people showed up and the rest is history!

Tybee Island, Georgia
The Tybee Wine Festival is one of the Tybee Post Theater’s major fundraising events.  Now in its fifth year, the Festival will feature five fun and unique Wine, Food and Educational experiences – all taking place within the beautiful surroundings of Tybee Island, just a few miles east of Historic Savannah, GA.
