COCA COLA BARBEQUE SAUCE

1 12 ounce can Classic Coke
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
hot pepper sauce to taste

 
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients.

Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, covered for 30 to 45 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally.

Strain if desired.

Season with hot pepper sauce.
