TOMATO SAUCE # 1
Step One 1 pound Onions -- finely chopped 1/4 pound Celery -- finely chopped 1/4 cup Green Peppers -- finely chopped 1/2 cup Olive Oil Step Two 1 1/2 tablespoons Garlic -- minced Step Three 3 Quarts Tomatoes, Diced -- canned 1 1/2 Quarts Tomato Puree Salt and Pepper -- to taste 1 whole Bay Leaves 1/2 teaspoon Oregano 1/2 teaspoon Thyme 1/2 teaspoon Marjoram 1/2 teaspoon Basil 1 tablespoon Sugar 1 cup Beef Stock (for Meat Sauce) Option 1 pound Ground Beef (for Meat Sauce) -- Cooked
DIRECTIONS
[1) Saute ingredients in STEP ONE for 10 - 15 minutes.
[2) Add Garlic, cook another 10 minutes.
[3) Add Ingredients from STEP THREE and simmer for 2 hours.
[4) Add Ground Beef for Meat Sauce.
