December 1, 2019
Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting
The parade starts at the State Fish Pier at 3:00 PM and travels through downtown to Kent Circle. The Tree Lighting activities will begin around 4:15 PM at Kent Circle.
December 6-8, 2019 Stockbridge Main Street At Christmas
The town of Stockbridge, made famous by Norman Rockwell’s painting of the village during the holidays, becomes a magical New England setting decorated with holiday wreaths and festive lights. The celebration includes holiday house tours, caroling, and a holiday concert. Capping off the weekend is a recreation on Sunday of the scene depicted in Rockwell’s “Main Street at Christmas,” complete with vintage automobiles parked in the spots occupied in the painting. The day’s activities include horse drawn rides, a visit from Santa, Roger the Jester, lunch at the Christmas Food Booth and much more.

A worldwide celebration of local food held every year on December 10. Through hundreds of diverse and unique events across the globe, together we show that a global food revolution grows from local roots.
December 31, 2019 First Night Boston - Boston, Massachusetts
Free and open to all. Entertainment and special attractions will be focused in Copley Square and Back Bay. People’s Procession at 6:00 PM, fantastic ice sculptures, light displays and 7:00 PM Family Fireworks in Boston Common, and our signature Copley Countdown pyrotechnics and light show in Copley Square at midnight. In addition, arts and musical performances will take place in numerous indoor venues around the Back Bay.
December 31, 2019 Rockport New Year’s Eve
Rockport New Year’s Eve 2019: 79 shows by 38 different acts in 16 venues, most of which are handicap-accessible, and all of which are within easy walking distance of one another. There is free parking at Whistlestop Mall, and there is free bus service from the parking and the train station. Events begin at 6:00PM and end with a midnight ball drop.
