July 12-15, 2018  Bacon, Bourbon and Brew Festival
Newport, Kentucky
The Bacon, Bourbon and Brew Festival is dedicated to the area’s rich history and connections to the brewing and pork industries as well as our region’s long ties to the bourbon industry. Each of the festival food vendors will feature creative bacon dishes including freshly prepared items sure to delight every bacon lover. Live music, games and more are part of the family fun.

July 14, 2018  22nd Annual Duncan Hines Festival
Bowling Green, Kentucky
The Duncan Hines Festival is a free community event that celebrates the life and career of Bowling Green native Duncan Hines. Bowling Green Junior Woman's Club is proud to host the annual Duncan Hines Festival and partner with Chaney's Dairy Barn for a family fun event. The festival will include the Adventures in Good Baking Contest, Uncle Duncan's Duck Derby, a brownie eating contest, a silent auction and local arts & crafts vendor. This year’s festival will be held from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm.  Proceeds from this event will help the Jr. Woman's Club give to other worthy causes throughout the year.

August 2-5, 2018  Glier’s Goettafest - Newport, Kentucky
Glier’s Goettafest is a family-fun festival celebrating the region’s love of Goetta. Goetta will be prepared in many delicious ways including Goetta Reubens, omelets, pizza and more. There will be continuous live music, games and rides.

August 3-5, 2018  Wild Ponies Kentucky Bourbon Trail Ride!
Louisville, Kentucky
For the 5th year in a row, Wild Ponies will host the Wild Ponies Kentucky Bourbon Trail Ride in Louisville, KY. It’s a bourbon-infused, musically-inspired fan adventure through the bluegrass hills of Kentucky. You, Wild Ponies, and a busload of other amazing individuals that you’ll love right away.  2 nights and 2 days of amazing Whiskey-infused fun with Wild Ponies!

August 4, 2018 - St. Matthews Street Festival - Louisville, Kentucky
The 7th Annual St. Matthews Street Festival, is a day-long festival held on Frankfort Avenue between Lexington Road and Bauer Avenue highlights the community's businesses, history, cuisine, and style. It also showcases the area's retailers, restaurants, and live entertainment. Family fun and activities include the Kids Zone, Fun Zone and Wellness Fair. Two stages with entertainment varying from Bluegrass to Classic Rock to a Beatles Cover Band.

 

August 9-13, 2018  Great Inland Seafood Festival
Newport, Kentucky
Free and accessible to all, on Riverboat Row, on the banks of the Ohio River in Newport Kentucky.  The Best Seafood You'll Ever Taste!  Over 15 local restaurants & National vendors will be selling the best tasting, freshest seafood available, including whole Maine Lobsters, shrimp, crawfish, crablegs, oysters, salmon, redfish, and much, much more....  Come early as 10,000 lobsters sell fast!!!  We are usually sold out by early Sunday afternoon. August 16-26, 2018  Kentucky State Fair - Louisville, Kentucky
Attracting over 600,000 visitors annually, the fair showcases Kentucky's agriculture, products, entertainment and people. Highlights include blue ribbon competitions, concerts, carnival rides, and the renowned World Championship Horse Show. The Cast-Iron Chef Competition is held at 1:30 p.m. every day of the fair on the Gourmet Garden stage. Each day two chefs will contend against each other to create a flawless entrée in 30 minutes or less.  Attendance: 600,000.

August 23-25, 2018  24th Annual Buttermilk Days Festival
Bardstown, Kentucky
The event that offers good home cooking, along with sweet harmonies, dancing and lots of reunions of families, friends and neighbors.  Corn Hole Tournament, Wine Tasting Contest, Ms. Buttermilk Pageant, Live Music, etc.
