October 4-5, 2013  Jim Beam BBQ Classic - Springfield, Kentucky
Our cook-off event has been sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society and named a KY State Championship Competition by Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear. $10,000 in cash prizes up for grabs!

October 4-5, 2013  51st Kentucky Apple Festival - Paintsville, Kentucky
Love Them Apples! Always the first Saturday in October.  You absolutely cannot come to the Apple Festival without eating a Tiger Ear, or a Fried Apple Pie. But you don't have to stop there, with dozens of food booths all conveniently located in the downtown area, you can try one of everything.  Crafter's come from all over the United States to sell their hand made crafts here at the Apple Festival. So come and join us won't you, bring the kids and we guarantee that you will find something for everyone, and we know that you and your family will have a great time at the Kentucky Apple Festival.


October 4-6, 2013  Kentucky Crossroads Harvest Festival
Springfield & Washington County, Kentucky
The first weekend in October come home to Springfield & Washington County KY! A weekend filled with entertainment, food and fun for the whole family – you won’t want to miss it.

October 5, 2013  Annual Metcalfe County Pumpkin Festival - Edmonton, Kentucky
A day full of food, and music and events including a 5K Run/Walk, car cruise-in, beauty pageant, tractor show, karaoke, dance, and children's parade. 

October 5-6, 2013  The Great Pumpkin Fest - Utica, Kentucky
Everything pumpkins...... A celebration filled with pumpkins. The Great Pumpkin Hunt will begin at 2PM (Children bring your baskets). Prizes Given. The event will include pumpkin painting and contest, Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin, pumpkin bowling, Funky Pumpkin Game, pumpkin sculpting and contest, a pumpkin toss, and face painting. Listen to live entertainment, hop aboard a hayride to the Pumpkin Patch, find a pumpkin in the Pumpkin Poundage Patch, Get Lost in the interactive Giant Corn Maze, visit our new Animal Barnyard, or enjoy the scenery while the children play in the Family Fun Acre. The entire family will enjoy tasting pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin juice and having bushels of family fun!

October 11-13, 2013  37th Trigg County Country Ham Festival - Cadiz, Kentucky
A celebration of the county's world-famous country hams, and the world's largest edible country ham biscuit!

October 12-13, 2013  The Great Pumpkin Fest - Utica, Kentucky
The event will include Pumpkin Painting and Contest, Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin, Pumpkin Bowling, Funky Pumpkin Game, Pumpkin Sculpting Contest, Pumpkin Checkers, Pumpkin Toss, and Face Painting. Listen to live entertainment. October 19-20, 2013  Reid's Orchard Annual Apple Festival - Owensboro, Kentucky
The Apple Festival is an event for the whole family with 20 food booths, 90 crafts booths, entertainment, demonstrations and carnival riders. The festival has been named a Top 10 event by the Kentucky Tourism Council and a Top 20 event by the southeast Tourism Society which covers eleven states. Save the dates on your calendar.


October 30-Nov 2, 2013  National FFA Convention & Expo - Louisville, Kentucky
National FFA Organization (formerly Future Farmers of America).  Each year, nearly 55,000 FFA members and guests gather to learn about careers in the agriculture industry, compete for scholarships, volunteer in the community and shape the future of the National FFA Organization.

November 5-7, 2013  Safe Quality Food International Conference

December 6-8, 2013  Heart of Kentucky Holiday Festival - Lebanon, Kentucky
Enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas bazaar hosted by the Marion County Homemakers. Then take the Maker's Mark Distillery candlelight tour to see how bourbon is made. There's great food, an ice skating rink, a 3-acre light show, live entertainment, kids' activities and more.

November 13-16, 2014  North American Biodynamic Conference 2014
Louisville, Kentucky
The North American Biodynamic Conference is the foremost event for biodynamic education, networking, and community building on the continent. Every other year, hundreds of farmers, gardeners, educators, activists, and interested newcomers gather in a new region for inspiring keynotes, informative workshops, networking, exhibits, entertainment, and organic and biodynamic foods. We are thrilled to be bringing the conference to Louisville, Kentucky in 2014, home to a burgeoning local food movement and close to several exemplary biodynamic farms.

October 4-6, 2012  Harvest Festival - Antique Engine & Tractor Show
Renfro Valley, Kentucky
An old-fashioned celebration of the fall harvest including molasses made by mule-drawn press, authentic covered wagon train, antique farm machinery and steam engine show, clogging, mountain music, children's activities, country and comedy talent search and craft demonstrations featuring blacksmithing and basket weaving.

October 6-7, 2012  26th Annual Farm Festival - Owensboro, Kentucky
Located at Lampkin Farm at 8284 Short Station Road in Daviess County, features John Deere Tractors & Equipment from the 1800's to the present. Family fun including kiddie rides, tractor pulls, antique cars & trucks, and a flea & craft market.
