Devine's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch
Harrodsburg, Kentucky
Enjoy getting lost and found in one of three corn mazes covering 10 acres!  Lots of fun activities for the young (and young at heart) including a giant slide, hay maze, rope maze, petting area, dairy education area, nightly bonfire with free marshmallow roasting, and much more!

September 9-10, 2023  Trimble County Apple Fest - Bedford, Kentucky
The county’s premiere fall event.  The 2 day event showcases crafts and exhibits along the tree lined courthouse square in downtown Bedford.  Featured exhibits are the quilts made by The Trimble Thimbles quilting club and the antique tractors show by the Trimble County Klunkers club.  The list of items to be found include folk art, jewelry, candles, stained glass and much more.  Festival food is always especially good, including apple dumplings, blooming onions, tater twisters, BBQ and more. Live Music; Apple Festival Queen, Little Miss & Mister Pageant, the Jelly Bean Motorcycle Ride and a Community Worship service on Sunday morning.

September 14-17, 2023  Bourbon & Beyond - Louisville, Kentucky
Bourbon & Beyond is the world's largest bourbon festival, an annual celebration of award-winning bourbons, master distillers, legendary musicians, chefs, and an unforgettable showcase of the craftsmanship, soul and spirit of Louisville. Two dozen master distillers, blenders and experts - a third of whom are women - from the top brands will take part of 30 bourbon and food-focused experiences, including a first-ever discussion between Jack Daniel's and Jim Beam's master distillers when Bourbon & Beyond returns to Louisville.

September 15-17, 2023  Kentucky Bourbon Festival
Bardstown, Kentucky
One of the Commonwealth’s leading community festivals, saluting and showcasing the Bourbon making process and the storied history of Kentucky’s renowned industry. Many distilleries, plus genuine Kentucky arts and crafters, display their wares…on the lawn of Spalding Hall from Friday evening through Sunday.  The attendance for last year’s Kentucky Bourbon Festival -Bourbon Capital of the World was approximately 53,000 individuals hailing from 44 States and 14 different countries as well as the District of Columbia.  Attendance: 53,000.

September 15-17, 2023  Annual Berea Spoonbread Festival
Berea, Kentucky
The Spoonbread Festival has something for everyone. Make plans to bring the whole family. The festival is proud to offer a variety of vendors, free admission, free entertainment, free inflatables for children and several other events and activities everyone will enjoy!
 


 

September 21-23, 2023  Annual Morganfield Corn Festival
Morganfield, Kentucky
The festival includes a parade, carnival, pool and corn hole tournaments, corn dog eating contest, pageant, talent show and more.

September 21-24, 2023  Annual World Chicken Festival
London, Kentucky
Colonel Harland Sanders' (founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken) original restaurant was established Laurel County in the 1940's. World's Largest Skillet (10 1/2 ft) cooks 600 chicken quarters at once; Colonel Sanders look-alike contest; cooking contest; hot wing eating contest, Crowing, Strutting & Clucking Contest; much more.  Attendance: 250,000.

September 22-24, 2023  Anderson County Burgoo Festival
Lawrenceburg, Kentucky
Burgoo Capital of the World! Lots of burgoo, music, and vendors of all kinds.  There will be lots of burgoo, music, and entertainment, as well as vendors of all kinds. Vendors will fill all avenues of the festival with crafts, food, and other assorted goods beginning on Friday morning and will be open during all festival hours.

September 22-24, 2023  52nd Annual Morgan County Sorghum Festival
West Liberty, Kentucky
Since 1971, Morgan County and thousands of visitors have celebrated the Sorghum Festival.  The mule-drawn cane mill, steaming vats, and little jugs of sorghum molasses set the stage for three full days of Kentucky mountain heritage.  Live music, a parade, the Old Country Store, Sorghum Queen crowned at annual Bowl Game, and 100 art and craft displays fill West Liberty with sight, sound, and excitement.  One of the main attractions is the mule-drawn cane mill which is set up at Old Mill Park on Riverside drive in West Liberty.  Here you can sample the best sorghum around.

September 22-24, 2023  Marion County Country Ham Days
Lebanon, Kentucky
Marion County Country Ham Days is recognized as one of the oldest and largest fall festivals in Kentucky. Held the last full weekend in September, the festival welcomes over 30,000 visitors. The event began in 1969, and started with a mere six hams and a small number of volunteers. Today, Ham Days serves over 3,000 pounds of country ham at our breakfast and food booth and recruits over 200 Marion County volunteers.  Visit website for full details.  Attendance: 30,000+

September 22-24, 2023  Newport Oktoberfest - Newport, Kentucky
Newport Festival Park.  FREE live entertainment all weekend from some of the area's top German bands! Of course, there will be cold beers, warm brats, and a whole lot more to celebrate this wonderful Cincinnati tradition. Come out and participate in contests such as stein holding and the chicken dance! All the festivities will be held under one tent just like they do in Germany at the Munich Oktoberfest.

September 27-30, 2023  Clarkson Honeyfest - Clarkson, Kentucky
With rides for the family, a parade, great food and music, the entire town comes out to welcome the guests of Honeyfest. BEE sure to make plans to visit Clarkson during the three-day celebration of one of nature's sweetest gifts.

Many events are planned including the 5K Sorghum Shuffle, Baby Contest,  Corn Hole Corner, Parade, Frog Jumping Contest, Car, Tractor, and Motorcycle Cruise In, Washington County Fair Exhibits, Food and Craft Vendors, Small Town Big, Big Heart Idol, and Free Concert!!! Come join us for the Sorghum Festival!!!!

EVENT CANCELED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS.  This is an eating event, so bring your appetite and get ready to enjoy America's original cuisine served up by celebrity Pitmasters from all over the country. Live bands, a huge children's play area, raffles and give-aways make this the "go-to" festival of the summer in Central Kentucky.

September 17-18, 2021  Annual Grillin 'n Chillin BBQ Cookoff
Owensboro, Kentucky
Diamond Lake Resort is proud bring back the only state-sanctioned BBQ Championship. Over 48 of the best cooking teams from several states will compete for over $10,000 in prize money.

September 7-8, 2019  Apple Festival - Georgetown, Kentucky
Join us in kicking off the apple season with our annual Apple Festival There will be fun for the whole family with pony and hay rides, a fun filled play area, craft booths, and huge selection of great food!  We will be making our famous fried apple pies, caramel apples, apple cider and of course there will be apple picking!

September 14-Oct 31, 2019  Harvest Festival - Georgetown, Kentucky
Saturdays 9:30 am-6:00pm and Sundays 12:00-6:00 pm.  The Harvest Festival is our way to celebrate the wonders of the fall on the farm.  Each weekend will include fresh cooked kettle corn, pony rides, barnyard fun, hayrides, train rides and more!

Ole’ Cider Days Festival
Utica, Kentucky
Trunnell's Farm Market. A cider - stravaganza!!! A weekend of cider, apples and sampling of both. Six different ciders that will tickle your taste buds: Strawberry Cider, Blackberry Cider, Peach Cider, Red Cherry Cider, Blueberry Cider, and Fresh Apple Cider. Fresh-picked apple sampling throughout the weekend.  Live music, tasty barbecue, freshly pressed apple cider, apple cider donuts, and great fun for the whole family. Experience how pioneers made cider with antique, hand-cranked presses, enjoy scenic hayrides, interactive Giant Corn Maze, new Animal Barnyard, and have a "true farm experience" playing in the Family Fun Acre!!!

September 28-29, 2019  Octoberfest - Utica, Kentucky
This unique festival celebrates the fall season and everything farming! This is an event for the whole family. Come climb aboard the farm equipment, enter the Corn Toss Contest, and enjoy listening to live music while viewing the countryside. The children can enjoy the Family Fun Acre, play Farm Scene Investigation, get lost in the Interactive Corn Maze, visit the Animal Barnyard and pet the animals, hayrides to the pumpkin patch, face painting, pumpkin sculpting and contest, pumpkin painting, great food, carmel apples, and more

September 13, 2018 - Annual Taste of the Pennyrile
Hopkinsville, Kentucky
At the James E. Bruce Convention Center. Get your taste buds ready for an evening of culinary delights featuring selections from more than 30 of your favorite restaurants and food vendors. Pennyroyal Hospice provides specialized end-of-life care and services for terminally ill patients and their families. Proceeds from this event will help to provide continued care for patients without insurance or ability to pay for services.

September 16, 2018 - Louisville Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival

September 30, 2017  Annual Seven Springs Sorghum Festival
Sulphur Well, Kentucky
Let the festival begin! Bring on the bands and enjoy the whole day at the Annual Seven Springs Sorghum Festival.  We have enjoyed last years’ sorghum, but supplies are running short after the sorghum cookies, molasses bars and using it biscuit after biscuit.  It’s time to make more sorghum...let the celebration begin.

September 1-3, 2016 - 4th International Pawpaw Conference
Frankfort, Kentucky
Kentucky State University.  The Conference will be sponsored by Kentucky State University, the Ohio Pawpaw Growers Association and the PawPaw Foundation. The Conference will feature “Pawpaws Around the World” (a discussion of national and international pawpaw variety trials), pawpaw processing and marketing advances, as well as talks and poster sessions about pawpaw research, extension, and entrepreneurial activities. The Conference will include a “Pawpaw Culinary Extravaganza” featuring pawpaw menu items from chefs, as well as other unique Kentucky cuisine.
