Wine and Vine Fest
The festival, held in historic downtown Nicholasville (home of First Vineyard, the first commercial vineyard in the United States) and Chrisman Mill Vineyard, is designed to celebrate all of the wonderful things that make the Kentucky Good Life so darn good–especially the unique blend of history, heritage, and modern wine making available at Kentucky’s vineyards and wineries. May 12-13, 2017 39th Annual International Bar-B-Q Festival
Every second weekend in May, Owensboro springs to life with the wonderful smells and sounds of the International Bar-B-Q Festival. Smoke from hickory-stoked fires blends with the aromas of sizzling chicken, bubbling burgoo and roasting mutton to complete the festival atmosphere.
May 12-21, 2017 Lexington Craft Beer Week - Lexington, Kentucky
Over 100 varieties of craft beers will be available for sampling. Expert beer judges will be on hand to answer questions, to lead formal discussions and to judge a homebrew competition. Also enjoy blues music and delectable food.

The Annual Gourd Art Show in May, features an exhibition competition of dried and crafted gourds, crafting supplies and books, and gourd crafting workshops and classes.

St. Matthews Street Festival
The 5th Annual St. Matthews Street Festival, is a day-long festival held on Frankfort Avenue between Lexington Road and Bauer Avenue highlights the community's businesses, history, cuisine, and style. It also showcases the area's retailers, restaurants, and live entertainment. Family fun and activities include the Kids Zone, Fun Zone and Wellness Fair. Two stages with entertainment varying from Bluegrass to Classic Rock to a Beatles Cover Band.
May 21-22, 2016 7th Annual Kentucky Sheep & Fiber Festival
Over 2,000 people come together in Lexington to celebrate, talk and market natural fiber and local food products. Spinning, weaving, shearing and livestock exhibits; photography, skein, fleece and cooking competitions. The Bluegrass Stockdog Trial.
May 21-22, 2016 Annual Wine Festival - Union, Kentucky
Janes Saddlebag. Our largest event. In 2014 JSB hosted the largest Wine Festival in KY, with 22 wineries and 48 craft vendors. Join us again this year as we focus on KY wine and crafts! We will be adding more food selections and an entire new vendor layout. We have gone back to a two day event and have extended the hours of the festival. We will have discounted pre-sale tickets available for purchase soon on our website.

Bi-Water Farm & Greenhouse. Join us as we kick off the fresh fruits and veggie season with our first celebration of Berries & Bluegrass & Barbeque. Come and see all of the fresh produce in our market, and pick up some of the fresh berries to take home to enjoy. Top off the day with Bluegrass music and our own pulled pork sandwiches with slaw and beans. Make it a day in the country to enjoy and relax!
