Savor The Season Uptown
A Dine Around Tasting Event

On Thursday, September 26, 2013 Harvest Home along with the Marcus Samuelsson Group will be hosting Savor the Season Uptown, a dine-around tasting event to benefit Harvest Home's invaluable work bringing farm-fresh food, which includes a network of  farmers markets and other healthy food and lifestyle programs to underserved communities.

In 2012 Harvest Home and Chef Marcus Samuelsson held the first Savor the Season event at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que restaurant with 8 restaurants and 2 bakeries including Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Jim Ramen, Le Monde, Levain Harlem, Tonnie's Mills, Melba's 5 and Diamond, Mobay Catering, Creole and Samuelsson's own Red Rooster.

Savor the Season - Uptown!

This year the organization is looking to build on their success by hosting a much larger event at the Museum of the City of New York.  Attendees can count on enjoying a unique gastronomic experience with such upscale restaurants as Red Rooster, Corner Social, Levain Bakery and 5 and Diamond among many others.  Chefs Marcus Samuelsson and Nils Noren from the Marcus Samuelsson Group will be curating the menu to ensure a delightful selection of seasonal renditions utilizing local produce.

This exclusive event celebrates 20 years of Harvest Home Farmer's Markets in New York City and features some of the most outstanding chefs and restaurants north of 96th Street. In addition to signature dishes, the evening will include specialty herb-infused cocktails, a VIP meet and greet, raffle and live music. Proceeds from this important fundraiser go to support and expand Harvest Home priority programs and services, such as Eating for Good Health Initiative and Play Streets.
