Home chefs are invited to create a pizza masterpiece using at least two of Mezzetta Specialty Foods products for a chance to win a trip to Italy, an Aprilia Scooter or a Sony Digital Camera.
Best known as a leading producer of glass-packed olives, peppers and specialty pasta sauces, Mezzetta, in keeping with their Italian heritage, wants to reward home cooks for their delicious pizza creations. Contestants need only upload an image of their pizzas to the Mezzetta Facebook page.

Open to amateur bakers ages 18 years and older residing in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Up to 15 entries will be selected for the semi-finals and cake tasting event on March 24, 2012 at Martha’s Table. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Martha’s Table (www.marthastable.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk children, youth, families and individuals in our community improve their lives by providing educational programs, food, clothing and enrichment opportunities.
First prize is $500, the winning cake added to the Eatonville Restaurant dessert menu, and a $250 gift card to King Arthur Flour’s on-line catalogue.

- 6th International Olive Oil Competition - Deadline: February 10, 2012
Open enrollment for NORTHERN HEMISPHERE. Individual producers or co-operatives wishing to enter their product into the contest must forward no more than 3 (three) types of extra-virgin oil, together with completed application form.
Awards will be presented on a date yet to be determined in May or June of 2012 on the contest of ALMA Trophy.

- 16th Annual National Cornbread Cook-Off - Deadline: February 29, 2012
Martha White and Lodge Cast Iron look to America’s kitchens for original main dish cornbread recipes to be entered in the 16th Annual National Cornbread Cook-off. Entries must be an original main dish recipe and prepared with at least one package of Martha White Cornbread Mix using Lodge Cast Iron Cookware.
Ten finalists will compete during the National Cornbread Festival and create their original cornbread specialties under the Big Cook-Off Tent on April 28, 2012, in South Pittsburg, Tenn. One lucky winner will be chosen as the reigning cornbread champion.
The Cook-Off Grand Champion will receive a $5,000 cash prize an can also enjoy cooking all of his or her favorite recipes on a 30-inch stainless steel gas range (a $3,250 Value) From Fivestar Professional Cooking Equipment, and Special Gifts From Martha White and Lodge Cast Iron.
The 2nd Prize Winner will receive $1,500, and The Third Prize Winner Will receive $1,000.
The Remaining Seven Finalists will walk away with $150.

- "Stirring Up Health" National Middle School Recipe Contest - Deadline: March 2, 2012
We Challenge all 7th and 8th graders, individually or in groups, to "Stir Up Health" with MyPlate!
Contestant must be currently enrolled in 7th or 8th grade in the United States.
Contestant can enter only one recipe as an individual.
The contest offers a class/group entry. Only one contest entry per group.
All entries must be signed by a parent or guardian and if entry prepared as part of a class experience, a teacher.
A color photograph of the recipe and an Essay must be included.
Recipe must have a high percentage of its ingredients from the MyPlate food group category chosen.
Recipe must be lower in fat, sugar, and salt compared to a typical recipe.
