6th Annual Detroit Fall Beer Festival
Detroit, Michigan
Join the Michigan Brewers Guild at Eastern Market in October for one of the largest all-Michigan beer tastings around. October 2-6, 2013  33rd Annual Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival
Caro, Michigan
The Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival is the premier fall festival in the Thumb of Michigan. The festival brings the beauty of Fall to downtown Caro with painted and decorated pumpkins from area schools.

October 3-5, 2013  Pumpkinfest - Zeeland, Michigan
This family festival features food, games, contests, scarecrow displays, a parade and entertainment.

October 5, 2013  Bite of Beaver Island - Beaver Island, Michigan

October 5-6, 2013  Huron Township Applefest - New Boston, Michigan

October 11-13, 2013  45th Annual Charlevoix Apple Fest
Charlevoix, Michigan
The festival’s focal point is the apple, proven to be the most popular fruit in North America.  Northern Michigan’s cool temperatures are said to produce tastier and more colorful fruit than those grown in warmer climates.  More than 30 types of apples will be on hand as well as other fall harvest items such as pumpkins, squash, jam, honey, maple syrup, pies and cider.

Like to play with your food? Then this is the event for you! Culinary students from schools across the nation will compete in a national fruit and vegetable carving competition. The students will show off their creative talent and carving skills while creating works of art with produce from the Market. A team of professionals will judge whose sculptures are a cut above the rest.

Help us stir our century old copper kettle full of bubbling hot apple butter. Watch crafts demonstrations such as quilting, pottery, lace making, wool spinning, and homemade herbal soaps and lotions. Activities for children include candle dipping and cider pressing.

October 25, 2013  Noto's Fall Charity Wine Fest - Grand Rapids, Michigan
Features over 300 international and MI wines, Noto's gourmet cuisine and culinary auction. October 25, 2009  Michigan Sustainable Stoup Competition
