January 10-12, 2018
Michigan Brewers Guild Winter Conference & Trade Show - Kalamazoo, Michigan
The Annual Winter Conference takes place each year in January and offers brewery personnel a high quality educational experience that is both local and affordable. This event is a collaborative effort between the Michigan Brewers Guild and the Master Brewers Association of the Americas-District Michigan.  The conference includes presentations by experienced professionals from within Michigan as well as from across the national craft beer community. Presentations cover relevant topics focused on the technical aspects of beer production as well as beer sales and marketing. Additional highlights are a Sensory Evaluation Workshop and a Great Beer State dinner reception featuring extraordinary presentations of beer and food.

January 16-17, 2018 - Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show
Grand Traverse Resort, Acme, Michigan
The Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show offers two days of educational programs about tart and sweet cherries, apples, and wine grapes. There will be special sessions for wine grape production and enology. The Cherry Marketing Institute will hold its annual meeting and luncheon, along with the Sweet Cherry Summit. There will also be sessions covering various issues for apple growers. Social events include three luncheons and a wine tasting and hors d'oeuvre social hour. Vendors will be on hand for the duration of the two-day event.

Cherry Marketing Institute’s (CMI) annual meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show.

The Michigan Family Farms Conference is a forum for beginning, small-scale and culturally diverse farmers to network, learn and build sustainable family farms.

February 7-8, 2018
Southwest Michigan Horticultural Days
Benton Harbor, Michigan
Hosted by the Michigan Grape Society, Michigan State University Extension and Lake Michigan College.  There will be a trade show located in the Grand Upton Hall, and a raffle drawing for prizes donated by trade show vendors.  Production issue discussions will be led by MSU Extension educators, fruit growers and university researchers. All sessions will include RUP credits. The educational sessions are divided into topics: general, vegetable, tree fruit, blueberry, wine and grape. Topics will include cover cropping, soil conservation, pest management practices, horticultural practices, labor and regulations.  The trade show and registration open at 8 a.m. with educational sessions beginning at 9 a.m.  While the event is geared towards horticultural producers in the region, the public is always welcome.

February 8-10, 2018 - Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference (GLRDC)
Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
Dedicated to helping dairy producers learn new ways of increasing their profitability by doing more with less. Thanks to support from generous industry supporters, the GLRDC has earned a reputation as a top educational conference. Leading experts will make presentations on topics ranging from nutrition and genetics to the future of the dairy industry, dairy sustainability and economics. In addition to our quality line-up of educational speakers, we will once again be the home base for the eighth annual Dairy Industry Recognition Night where we will honor the industry’s leading producers, recognize dairy scholarship recipients and dairy judging team members, as well as announce the winners of the Michigan Dairy Ambassador Program.
