January 12-13, 2016  Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show
Grand Traverse Resort, Acme, Michigan
The Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show offers two days of educational programs about tart and sweet cherries, apples, and wine grapes. There will be special sessions for wine grape production and enology. The Cherry Marketing Institute will hold its annual meeting and luncheon, along with the Sweet Cherry Summit. There will also be sessions covering various issues for apple growers. Social events include three luncheons and a wine tasting and hors d'oeuvre social hour. Vendors will be on hand for the duration of the two-day event.

Cherry Marketing Institute’s (CMI) annual meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show.

Michigan Brewers Guild Winter Conference With MBAA District Michigan
Grand Rapids, Michigan
The Annual Winter Conference takes place each year in January and offers brewery personnel a high quality educational experience that is both local and affordable. This event is a collaborative effort between the Michigan Brewers Guild and the Master Brewers Association of the Americas-District Michigan.  The conference includes presentations by experienced professionals from within Michigan as well as from across the national craft beer community. Presentations cover relevant topics focused on the technical aspects of beer production as well as beer sales and marketing. Additional highlights are a Sensory Evaluation Workshop and a Great Beer State dinner reception featuring extraordinary presentations of beer and food.

Marshall, Michigan
The Michigan Family Farms Conference is a forum for beginning, small-scale and culturally diverse farmers to network, learn and build sustainable family farms.

January 29-30, 2016  17th Annual Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference - Acme, Michigan
Trade show with over 80 vendors.  Local foods lunch.  Over 750 conference attendees.  Over 25 educational sessions.  Youth track, with hands-on farm sessions.  Child care.  Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, Michigan, just north of Traverse City.

February 3-4, 2016  Southwest Michigan Horticultural Days
Benton Harbor, Michigan
Hosted by the Michigan Grape Society, Michigan State University Extension and Lake Michigan College.  There will be a trade show located in the Grand Upton Hall, and a raffle drawing for prizes donated by trade show vendors and Michigan State University. Educational sessions will be offered and will include RUP credits. The educational sessions on vegetable production will include insect pest management, pollinator management, and diagnosing disease and nutrient management issues. Tree fruit sessions will be focused on weed and soil nutrient issues. One wine grape session and two combined grape sessions will include discussion on ground management, emerging pest issues, wine quality, and continuing recovery from the 2013/2014 winter injury. Blueberry educational sessions will also be offered.MSU Extension educators, fruit growers, and university researchers will give the educational sessions.

February 24-26, 2016  Michigan Grape & Wine Conference 2016
Kalamazoo, Michigan
The conference will be the hosting center for the Northern Grapes Symposium annual meeting on Wednesday, February 24. The symposium will bring in researchers from Iowa State, Cornell University, University of Minnesota and Michigan State, to name a few, will be speaking for their regions. The Michigan Grape & Wine Conference will begin on Wednesday February 24, with the winemakers tasting (for winemakers only) and Welcome Reception. There will be educational sessions in marketing, viticulture, enology, sensory evaluations, and exhibit hall with vendor demonstrations.  New this year, the exhibit hall will have a demonstration stage for exhibitors to showcase their products!
