May 17-20, 2012  National Morel Mushroom Festival - Boyne City, Michigan
An annual event for over 50 years. The amazing festival weekend will include a mushroom hunt, food, music and recipes.

May 18-19, 2012  World Expo of Beer 2012 - Frankenmuth, Michigan
The expo, brought to you every year by the Jaycees, is Michigan's Largest Beer Sampling event, with over 250 different beers available.

May 23, 2012  11th Annual Hands Around the Table TasteFest - Sterling Heights, Michigan
Sponsored by St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital. Featuring many area food and beverage establishments, entertainment and health fair.

June 3, 2012  Taste of Ann Arbor - Ann Arbor, Michigan
For more than 20 years, Taste of Ann Arbor has been the unofficial kick-off of the summer festival season. The streets are always packed with curious food fans tasting the best that our restaurants have to offer.

June 7-10, 2012  Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival - Frankenmuth, Michigan
Voted "Top 5 Festivals in the State of Michigan" by AAA's Michigan Living Magazine. Bavarian music played by authentically dressed German bands, two outstanding parades, rides and games. Saturday's Kinder Tag (Kid's Day) is sure to have something for children of all ages. Taste buds are tempted to their limit with a variety of delicious German foods and desserts. And to top it all off, plenty of refreshing ice-cold beer - Imported and Domestic! 100,000.

June 8-9, 2012  Battle Creek Cereal Festival - Battle Creek, Michigan
World's longest breakfast table, arts crafts, parade.

June 8-9, 2012  2012 Strawberry Festival - Hartford, Michigan
The schedule includes crowning of Prince/Princess and Sweetest Strawberry Baby, live entertainment, Strawberry Run, car show, sports tournaments, parade, and strawberry pie-eating contest.

June 8-10, 2012  12th Annual Gizzard Fest - Potterville, Michigan
Many events including a gizzard eating contest, parade, antique tractor show, hot chick/rooster call, live entertainment, and much more.
 

 


June 8-10, 2012  National Asparagus Festival - Shelby, Michigan
Held every year during the second weekend of June in Oceana County. Events include a Grand Parade, Family Activities, Arts & Crafts Fair, Motorcycle Run, 5k Run, Asparagus Food Show and much more!

June 10, 2012  Traverse Colantha Walker Dairy Festival - Traverse City, Michigan
The festival recognizes Colantha, the Holstein dairy cow, that produced a record setting 22,918 pounds of milk in 1926, making her the highest producer in the world at the time. Activities include a pancake breakfast, farmers market, Great Grilled Cheese Grill-Off, food, art, live music, food demonstrations, wine & cheese pairings, milk & cookie pairings for the kids and a parade to Colantha's headstone.

June 13-17, 2012  Michigan Sugar Festival - Sebewaing, Michigan
Celebrating the area's role in growing and processing sugar beets. Grand parade, golf outing, midway, entertainment tent, candy drop and other children's activities, and crowning of the Michigan Sugar Queen, "the sweetest girl in the world".

June 15-17, 2012  Belleville National Strawberry Festival  - Belleville, Michigan
Held every Fathers Day weekend with a parade and many other berry special events! Attendance: 200,000.

June 16, 2012  Cheese Town Challenge Festival - Pinconning, Michigan
The Chamber of Commerce hosts the event including the CheeseTown Challenge Race, baseball and softball tournaments, cheese cooking demonstration, Cheesy parade, CheeseTown Dad Contest, beer tent with great live music, disc golf tournament, Ultimate Mac & Cheese Dinner contest, and fireworks.

June 16, 2012  Strawberry Fest - Coldwater, Michigan
Stroll down Chicago Street where flats of strawberries and other strawberry delights may be purchased. The sidewalks are filled with nearly a hundred arts and crafts vendors. Look for the special kids' area.

June 16, 2012  Alden Strawberry Festival - Alden, Michigan
The annual old fashioned festival at Alden Depot Park is fun for the whole family, with Michigan strawberries served over homemade shortcake and topped with real whip cream, along with live entertainment and do-it-yourself strawberry kits to take home.

June 16-17, 2012  Houghton Rotary Seafood Fest - Houghton, Michigan
Always held on Father's Day weekend in conjunction with Bridgefest, the event offers a chance to sample your favorite seafood, listen to music and join in the fun.

June 17, 2012  Lake Michigan Shore Wine Festival - Weko Beach, Bridgman, Michigan
Sample great local wines of the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail, and enjoy great music & food, right on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan!

June 17, 2012  Real Men Cook - Detroit, Michigan
Real Men Cook promotes male involvement, education, outreach and advocacy on food resources, healthy eating, healthcare and public policies on these issues. Takes place each year on Father's Day in cities across the U.S. A national movement-get involved!

June 23, 2012  Founders Fest 2012 - Grand Rapids, Michigan
5th annual Founders Fest--an outdoor beer and music event in downtown Grand Rapids. A variety of talent will rock this year's festival. It will again feature local food vendors and an expanded "Local Artists Row".  Attendance: 4,000.

June 29-30, 2012  Pasty Fest 2012 - Calumet, Michigan
This festival celebrates the Cornish pasty, which is pastry filled with beef, sliced potato, turnip or rutabaga and onion, and baked. Pasties were traditionally eaten by copper miners in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Events include the Pasty Walk and Pasty Parade, music, pasty bake-off, and children's games, including the dreaded Pasty Pull.

June 9, 2011  7th Annual Dinner with the Winemaker of Old Mission Peninsula
Traverse City, Michigan
Winemakers will attend to meet with guests.  Proprietor and Sommelier Amanda Danielson plans this event every year to " . . . showcase the best wines grown on Old Mission Peninsula alongside a world-class menu created specifically for the individual wines chosen."   The wine dinner illustrates her strong conviction that local wines deserve attention.

June 28, 2011  Assaggi Bistro Wine Tasting Hosted by Assocaite Baron's Council
Ferndale, Michigan
Join the Associate Baron's Council for the Assaggi Bistro Wine Tasting.  Tickets are $50 and inlcudes fantastic wines and delicious hor d'ouerves in an elegant bistro setting  All proceeds go towards the American Cancer Society.
