June 10, 2012 Traverse Colantha Walker Dairy Festival - Traverse City, Michigan The festival recognizes Colantha, the Holstein dairy cow, that produced a record setting 22,918 pounds of milk in 1926, making her the highest producer in the world at the time. Activities include a pancake breakfast, farmers market, Great Grilled Cheese Grill-Off, food, art, live music, food demonstrations, wine & cheese pairings, milk & cookie pairings for the kids and a parade to Colantha's headstone.

June 23, 2012 Founders Fest 2012 - Grand Rapids, Michigan 5th annual Founders Fest--an outdoor beer and music event in downtown Grand Rapids. A variety of talent will rock this year's festival. It will again feature local food vendors and an expanded "Local Artists Row". Attendance: 4,000.
June 29-30, 2012 Pasty Fest 2012 - Calumet, Michigan This festival celebrates the Cornish pasty, which is pastry filled with beef, sliced potato, turnip or rutabaga and onion, and baked. Pasties were traditionally eaten by copper miners in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Events include the Pasty Walk and Pasty Parade, music, pasty bake-off, and children's games, including the dreaded Pasty Pull.
