Annual Tree Lighting with Santa
Ring in the season with neighbors and friends at the Brunswick Downtown Association’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! 2pm – 5:00pm: Enjoy free Horse and Carriage rides, hot cocoa and coffee and cookies. Santa and Frosty the Snowman will arrive at 3 PM on a firetruck Santa will then take a seat in the Gazebo to visit with children and hear their Christmas wishes. 4pm – 5:00pm: The Brunswick High School Chorus will sing carols. 5:00pm: The tree will be lit! Small Business Saturday – Check back for the list of specials at our local shops & restaurants! Brunswick Town Mall, Maine Street, Brunswick.

A worldwide celebration of local food held every year on December 10. Through hundreds of diverse and unique events across the globe, together we show that a global food revolution grows from local roots

10th Annual Pumpkinfest &
The festival features events ranging from the Atlantic Giant Pumpkin weigh-off to parades, pumpkin catapults, pie eating and dessert making contests, hunts, and more. The highlight is the Pumpkin Regatta, in which participants race giant hollowed-out pumpkins on the Damariscotta River. The festival kicks off with the pumpkin weigh-in , with $10,000 in prizes. Giant pumpkins are then delivered to Main Street, where local artists turn them into works of art. The weekend is when most activities occur. A parade, pumpkin drop, hunt, hurl and derby, are just a few activities. Live music and street performances and kids activities will take place throughout the weekend. Pumpkinfest culminates with the Regatta, giant pumpkins powered by paddle or motor, racing to take home the cherished “golden gourd” trophy.
October 2-9, 2016 - Fryeburg Fair - Fryeburg, Maine
Maine's largest agricultural fair complete harness racing, a farm museum second to none, the world's largest steer and oxen show, pig scramble, skillet throw, tractor pull, etc. Attendance: 300,000.
October 7-8, 2016 Acadia's Oktoberfest: Beer, Food, Art & Crafts Festival - Southwest Harbor, Maine
Acadia's Annual Oktoberfest. Friday features the 7th Annual Wine Tasting, accompanied by music. Saturday marks our 21st Annual Brewfest, with food and Maine artisans selling their arts and crafts.
October 15, 2016 Peninsula Harvest Festival & The Winter Market!
Blue Hill, Maine
In light of the cancellation of the Taste of the Peninsula, a group in Blue Hill will continue the tradition of a Fall celebration. The Peninsula Harvest Festival will take place from 10:30am – 3:00pm at Mainescape Garden Shop in Blue Hill. The group includes Mainescape, the Blue Hill Heritage Trust and several community members, with assistance from the Chamber of Commerce. Because of the success of the Taste of the Peninsula over the past several years, it seemed essential to carry on with an “end-of-season” festival. This will be a vendor driven event celebrating local farms, local food & drink, and local artisans.

Celebrate the history, flavor and tradition of Maine apples. Educational workshops and talks on tree pruning, cooking, and cider making. See and taste heirloom varieties.
October 20-23, 2016 Harvest on the Harbor - Portland, Maine
Experience wine tastings, food seminars, cooking competitions, and gourmet cuisine from award-winning local chefs—the best of Maine food, wine, beer, and spirits set against breathtaking Casco Bay. The largest trade and consumer event in the state. The 3 day-event will feature more than 100 culinary exhibitors and hundreds of wines from around the world. Attendance: 5,000.

Join growers, bakers, cheese artisans, vintners, and brewers from across Maine at the Maine Harvest Festival.
December 31, 2016 Eastport Sardine and Maple Leaf Drop
A giant sardine model drops from the top of one of the downtown's historic buildings, celebrating the new year and the area's past herring fishing and canning industries. A giant maple leaf drops simultaneously in homage to the island's Canadian neighbors a mile across the bay.
November 7, 2015 - Maine Brewers Festival - Portland, Maine
This festival celebrates the quality and community of Maine’s craft brewers and their tasty celebrated brews. Great food, door prizes, interesting vendors, and fantastic music round out the experience. On Friday evening the Brewers VIP Session will kick off the event, and the festival will begin on Saturday afternoon with two high-energy sessions. Festival attendees will receive a complimentary tasting glass (real glass!) with tickets to enjoy 12, 4-oz pours of Maine craft beer. You must be over 21 years of age to attend.

Free Pictures, Face Painting with SANTA CLAUS 10am-Noon; Lunch 11:00 am-1 :00-pm. All proceeds benefit St. Paul’s Outreach Programs.

Join us for our first ever Cookie Crawl in Downtown Brunswick! Shop, get sweet treats and support Salvation Army’s Toys for Tots. - Reserve your cookie tin on the website and pick it in the lobby of Senter Place on Saturday, December 6, between 10 AM and 2 PM for just $10.00 each. Visit each of the 12 participating merchants on Maine Street and pick up a variety of individually wrapped cookies. This is a fun family activity that will help you get a jump on your holiday shopping, support local merchants and the Salvation Army’s Toys for Tots and go home with a holiday tin full of delicious cookies! All proceeds to go to the Salvation Army Toy Drive. Participants are encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy, which can be dropped off at the Senter Place lobby on December 6th.
