April 2008 - The development plans mentioned below have been canceled - the latest reports are that Mark Hyatt will be reopening Benihana in its original location, and eventually to reopen a restaurant at the former Martha’s location (next door to Benihana) in the future.


After several decades of serving excellent food, Martha’s has closed its doors.  I received the following in an email from owner, Mark Hyatt:

James,
I just looked at your web site and noticed that you have Martha's reviewed.  I have closed the restaurant and will convert the property to high end housing in April 2006.  Benihana Restaurant (located next door) will remain open through March 2006 and then close as well.
