Email from Denise: (Feb, 2007) Well known for their wraps, but they make a cult-favorite burger. They cook it to order, (you get it the way you ordered it, too, VERY important) Jerry and Reina make the burgers from fresh ground chuck daily (from Fausto's) Next time you're in town, don't miss it!
Review Though not "fine dining" Lobos is one of the most innovative and intriguing restaurants of its type on the island of Key West. The feature thirty different roll-up sandwiches (giant tortilla filled (STUFFED!!) with top grade meats, cheeses and seafood and tightly wrapped. WOW! They have Thanksgiving in a wrap, complete with stuffing and cranberry sauce! I LOVED Lobo’s Russian Beef (Roast Beef, Jalapeno Jack cheese, roasted red peppers, dill pickle slices, lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing. One wrap is DEFINITELY large enough for two people of average hunger. One is great for a large person with a large appetite. All of them are wonderful and interesting combinations worthy of a try. Sometimes my friends and I will order different types and share them to get to try different flavors.
They also make the finest Conch Chili that I have ever had! The conch is tender, the flavor is a masterwork of chili expertise and hearty seasoning. Lobo's is one of the BEST values around. The portions are massive, the prices reasonable. Dine in or take out. They also offer delivery service (free in Old Town) that includes beer, wine and soft drinks. GREAT concept, great portions, great value...Excellent!
