Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii
The longest-running and most prestigious festival of its kind in Hawaii. This celebration of epicurean excellence will convene the finest in food and wine and embrace all things Hawaiian – notably – the fabulous culinary bounty on Maui and here at the world-renowned Kapalua Resort.
June 10, 2017 Build Aloha - Kunia, O'ahu, Hawaii
Build Aloha, an evening to benefit Honolulu Habitat for Humanity (HHH), will be hosted at the Ko Hana Rum Distillery, amidst the grassy plains of Kunia, O?ahu. Ko Hana Rum Distillery, now located in the former Del Monte General Store and Post Office, will offer an incredible and unique evening. Guests will enjoy a private tour of the distillery highlighting ancient Hawaiian heirloom sugarcane strains, grazing style celebrity chef food stations by Pig & The Lady, Fete Hawaii, Fish House at Ko?olina Four Seasons Resort, and the Pili Group. The night will be enhanced with specialty Ko Hana rum cocktails and Kona Brewing Co beer, funky fresh live music, networking and a silent auction with a special section featuring items from ReStore; HHH’s home improvement and donation center. Honolulu Habitat for Humanity builds homes and hope for the people of Hawai?i with a strong belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live. We invite the community to gather together in the spirit of generosity to uplift Honolulu Habitat for Humanity and their mission to build aloha. Ticket prices for the evening begin at $65 for general admission. For those interested in avoiding the incommodious idea of driving out of from the city, VIP tickets will include round trip transportation on a bus and early entry to the event.

July 18-20, 2017 24th Annual Hawaii Conservation Conference
Bringing together over 1,200 conservation professionals, natural resource managers, cultural practitioners, scientists, and students from throughout the Hawaiian Islands. The theme of this year’s 24th annual conference, He Wa?a He Moku – Malama Honua: Caring for Our Island Earth, was chosen to honor the return of Hokule‘a from the Worldwide Voyage (WWV). The WWV commenced in June 2014 when Hokule‘a and Hikianalia sailed across Earth’s oceans to carry the message of Malama Honua. As the wa?a returns home, three years later, this June (2017), the conference provides a unique opportunity for the community to reflect on global ties, Hawai?i’s legacy for the future and hear from the President of the Polynesian Voyaging Society, Nainoa Thompson. This is a unique opportunity not to be missed. The conference will feature many opportunities to learn about various technologies, methods, and approaches to conservation, and develop new partnerships among Hawai?i’s conservation community. Early bird rates are available until June 9th. Discounted registration for students, k-12 teachers, and nonprofit staff as well as student scholarship and mentorship programs also available. July 16, 2016 8th Annual Mangoes at the Moana - Honolulu, Hawaii
Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa has partnered with Makaha Mangoes to celebrate its annual “Mangoes at the Moana” event anniversary. Locals and visitors are invited to join in on the festivities from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Included in the day’s extensive lineup of celebratory activities, guests are also invited to Mangoes at the Moana’s most popular event “Mango Throw Down” featuring local celebrity executive chefs in a friendly cooking competition using mango as the main ingredient from noon – 4 p.m. Another competitive component to this year’s Mangoes at the Moana lineup of fun will include “Mango Cocktail Mixdown.” Open to public participation, “Mango Cocktail Mixdown” is a competition between cocktail enthusiasts and professional mixologists using Ketel One Vodka and mango as featured ingredient in a mixed drink.
