Fowler Threshing Days
Week long activities begin on the 2nd Friday in July; culminating with a parade on the third Saturday in July every year. The event includes a parade, an old-time threshing demonstration, arts & crafts, food, fun, and games.
July 11-15, 2017 - Annual Fiesta Mexicana - Topeka, Kansas
Enjoy delicious homemade tacos, enchiladas, tamales, burritos, and tostadas--it's not unusual to sell over 10,000 items a night. Fiesta activities include a parade, art show, run/walk, carnival, and jalepeno eating contest, as well as banda, norteno, salsa, mariachi and English mainstream music. July 12-16, 2017 117th Kansas Wheat Festival - Wellington, Kansas
Celebrates Wellington,"Wheat Capital of the World", with events for the whole family including a variety of contests, picnic in the park, games, carnival, car show, bed races, arts and crafts show, softball and volleyball tournaments, street dance, ice cream social and of course, a great hometown parade.
July 13-15, 2017 Chautauqua County Fair & Rodeo - Sedan, Kansas
Good old-fashioned fun at a good old-fashioned fair. It just wouldn't be a fair without a little friendly rivalry between the exhibitors. 4-H’ers and open class exhibitors vie for the grand champion ribbons as they show off their best projects: fashion and flowers, antiques and artwork, crafts and clothing, and of course, some of the best livestock in the State are on exhibit. People of all ages will enjoy some good clean entertainment, eat first-rate food prepared by local cooks, and view some great exhibits. The fairgrounds are shady, the people are friendly, and best of all – the fair is free!

The annual event will include a KCBS sanctioned cook-off and lots of family fun. The event will pay out $9,000 in cash prizes.

Events include barrel racing, concerts, antique tractor pull, carnival, horseshoe tournament and much more.
July 29, 2017 Dodge City Days Barbeque Contests
Dodge City, Kansas
National Beef Smokin' Saddles Official Bbq Contest sanctioned by the KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) and Rocky Mountain Barbeque Association. This official cook off is entering its 27th year as the best BBQ contest in Southwest Kansas! Come see some of the best chefs in the West compete for over $15,000 awarded in cash and prizes! ALSO The Annual Barbeque/Backyard Barbeque Contest gives all you backyard cooks out there the opportunity to show off your culinary skills. Follow the delicious aroma of BBQ into Wright Park and stay to see which team takes home the win. Participants will prepare food for judges only. (Dodge City Days runs from July 27 to Aug 6, 2017)
