27th Annual Giant Cabbage Weigh-Off - Palmer, Alaska
Alaska State Fair.  Two world records have already been set at our Fair – will one of these giants gain Guinness status again this year? Come see who will take home the big prizes (over $2,000 in cash awards!) and the bragging rights in the annual weigh-off. Plus, cheer on the big efforts of our littlest growers in the Junior Division.

September 2-3, 2023  Annual Girdwood Fungus Fair - Girdwood, Alaska
We put the "Fun" in Fungus Fair.  Hang on to your Fomes fomentarius hats! We've got another impressive "myco-lineup" for the Fungus Fair!  Forays with Fungus Masters.  Mushroom Display.  Five Course Fungus Feast, Art Workshops, Live Music, Much More.

September 8-10, 2023  17th Annual Cordova Fungus Festival
Cordova, Alaska
Throughout this three day event, Fungus Festival attendees will have opportunities to learn more about local mushrooms, participate in mushroom related arts and crafts, and celebrate mushrooms and other wild harvested foods in a Wild Food Dinner.  There will be daily guided forays, an identification table and an expert key note speaker.

November 2-5, 2023  Sitka WhaleFest - Sitka, Alaska
The Annual Sitka WhaleFest is a program of the Sitka Sound Science Center. The 2023 Sitka WhaleFest’s theme is “Sound Science: Voices from the Ocean.”  The event hosts a unique science symposium blending local knowledge and scientific inquiry concerning the rich marine environment of the North Pacific. The festival includes many community and cultural activities such as the science symposium lectures, interactive student sessions, marine wildlife cruises with scientist, a marine themed artisan market, music, local foods, a banquet, art and a fun run/walk.
 

November 4-5, 2023  34th Annual Anchorage Holiday Food & Gift Festival - Anchorage, Alaska
A fun and family oriented event featuring a wide variety of unique gifts, gourmet food, handmade arts and crafts, and so much more.  Holiday Food & Gift Festival strives to provide the Anchorage community and its visitors with a winter holiday show featuring a large variety of Alaska made and imported arts and crafts, furs, gifts and foods

Anchorage, Alaska
Christmas Village is one the newest holiday shows in Alaska. Be a part of the biggest shopping day of the year. Christmas Village is the perfect time to sell all of those wanted last minute gifts. Be ready to sell...and buy! Christmas Village allows both Alaskan-made and imported items to be sold at the show.

December 31, 2023  New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fireworks
Anchorage, Alaska
This year’s event will include the annual fireworks display and an outdoor, downtown party featuring live music from a local band and DJ in the Chinook Parking Lot on 3rd Avenue and E Street.

Join the German Club of Anchorage and Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. in celebrating Oktoberfest.  Come out and enjoy traditional German music, dancing, food, and entertainment. Live bands, bell ringers and consessions. German beer, wine and soft drinks to be sold.
