March 31-April 3, 2023 Annual Tater Day - Benton, Kentucky The streets of Benton fill with thousands of people, all who have come to the annual celebration of the sweet potato. Tater Day started in 1842 with the trading and selling of sweet potatoes. Participate in this 3-day event featuring beauty pageants, gospel singing, Tater Day Fitness Trot, flea market, cook-off, arts & crafts, food concessions, and a parade. April 21-22, 2023 Clinton- Hickman County Spring Chicken Festival Clinton, Kentucky This annual festival is held on the fourth weekend in April with festivities beginning with a Chicken Idol singing contest on Friday, from 6 pm - 10 pm. The festivities kickoff on Saturday with a 5k/10k race that begins in Clinton and runs through the beautiful countryside of Hickman County. Throughout the day there will be live music by local artists from Carlisle, Hickman, and Fulton counties. Of course, it wouldn’t be a festival without delicious food. Other activities include arts & crafts booths, a corn hole tournament, antique farm equipment, fun run for kids, a petting zoo and a Wild-Wing Cook-Off contest.
