Bowling Green, Kentucky

June 8, 2024  Winchester Beer Cheese Festival - Winchester, Kentucky
Held the 2nd weekend in June every year, the festival highlights Beer Cheese, a flavorful dip/spread that originated in rural Clark County Kentucky near the Kentucky River in the 30s-40s. The festival includes an amateur beer cheese tasting contest, a commercial beer cheese tasting contest, music, arts & crafts, kids activities and lots and lots of Beer Cheese.

June 12-15, 2024  W. C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival
Henderson, Kentucky
A week long musical event that features blues and Zydeco bands from across the United States. Not to mention the mounds of barbecue, red beans & rice and other great treats available from local vendors. W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival has become one of the largest FREE music festivals in the nation. The Henderson Music Preservation Society is a non-profit organization, all proceeds are used 100% to fund the next year's show.  Attendance: 50,000.
 


 

June 13-16, 2024  Newport Italianfest - Newport, Kentucky
Italianfest, named a Top 20 Event for June by the Southeast Tourism Society, is held along Newport’s Riverboat Row between the Purple People and Taylor-Southgate Bridges. The festival has authentic Italian food and live Italian music performed by entertainers from around the nation and from “the old country”, a Golf Outing, and a Family Photo Booth showcasing the history of Italian families that settled in Newport generations ago. Other fun includes a pizza eating contest, a cooking contest, games, and rides for the little ones. Events kick off with a Bocci Ball Tournament at Pompilio’s Restaurant on Wednesday.  Attendance: 120,000.

June 15, 2024  Wine and Vine Fest - Nicholasville, Kentucky
The festival, held in historic downtown Nicholasville (home of First Vineyard, the first commercial vineyard in the United States) and Chrisman Mill Vineyard,  is designed to celebrate all of the wonderful things that make the Kentucky Good Life so darn good–especially the unique blend of history, heritage, and modern wine making available at Kentucky’s vineyards and wineries.  Includes Kentucky Farm to Table Dinner, Kentucky Equine & Wine Tours.

Coffee Fest has been serving the specialty coffee and gourmet tea industries since 1992. June 7, 2020  Taste of Newport - Newport, Kentucky
EVENT CANCELED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS.
The annual Taste of Newport rain or shine from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. The 600-700-800 blocks of Monmouth Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for the event. The event is designed to showcase some of Newport’s finest “tastes” around the city.  Live Music.
