The Orthodox Church of St. Matthew’s Multi-Cultural Festival. Food, music, & dance representing many world cultures including Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Serbian, Romanian, Arab, Asian, and Hispanic. Free live entertainment by the region's most popular ethnic musicians & dancers, delicious foods made on premises from family recipes, a wine and beer garden, one-of-a-kind handmade crafts, a large children's activity area, guided church tours, icon painting demonstrations, and a silent auction.
October 7-8, 2017 Maryland Pumpkin Festival - Frederick, Maryland
While thousands come to experience farm fresh adventures at Summers Farm Adventure, the Maryland Pumpkin Festival highlights all things pumpkin in food and fun. And, our themed mega maze, hay slides, farm animals, hay rides, pumpkin patch, pig races, the jumping pillow round out the fun. During our annual Maryland Pumpkin Festival, we'll have a Pie Eating Contest, Seed Spitting Contest, and a Pumpkin Egg Hunt plus foods featuring pumpkin!

The annual event will offer food, musicians, and dancers. During this festive weekend, we invite you to sample the many foods, souvenirs and entertainment offered at our Russian Festival. All of the food – ranging from the hot dishes and breads to the many desserts – was prepared by our own parishioners. Most of the souvenirs have been imported from Russia. Beautiful icons fashioned by the faithful in Russia, dolls, pins, paintings are just some of the beautiful expressions of faith and love witnessed today in Holy Rus’. And the entertainment – dance groups, choirs and music ensembles – we hope will make your feet tap and your hearts sing.

Taste of Solomons is a one-day food festival showcasing the many wonderful places to eat in this lovely waterfront community. Food and drink tickets are only $4 each, and are available for purchase at each participating restaurant. As an added feature attraction this year, most restaurants will participate in a Gift Certificate Prize program. Some of the tickets at each location will be designated as prize winners, and the lucky purchaser will be awarded a gift certificate for future use at the respective restaurant.
