Lenoir, North Carolina
In Caldwell County, blackberries are a part of every day life – children beg to go pick from the wild berries lining every bank and mothers take what isn’t eaten during the day for cobblers. Summer fun for all visitors--music, pageant, blackberry eating & recipe contests and children's activities. BAKERS WANTED! You and/or your organization are invited to be a part of our community effort to create the World's Largest Patchwork of Blackberry Cobbler by baking and delivering one or more cobblers to the event. All supplies (berries, flour, sugar, margarine, pan & simple recipe) are provided except one cup of milk and your baking expertise. (also: www.caldwellcochamber.org ) Attendance: 25,000.

Serious beer connoisseur's can enjoy the first samples of the frosty brews during the VIP Brewmaster Tasting beginning at 2:30pm. All those who, while you appreciate the wonderful craftsmanship of the beers, are less interested measured analytical sips and would rather jump right in to experience as many of the three hundred beers as responsibly possible, may crash the gates starting at 4pm. Live Music.
