February 23-25, 2018 - Root Bound - Highlands, North Carolina
Highlands’ popular celebration of Appalachian food, music and culture. Sip, Savor and jam with celebrated chefs, musicians and personalities of Appalachia. James Beard ‘Best Chef Southeast’ semifinalist, Chef John Fleer hosts Friday’s opening night dinner with live music at The Farm at Old Edwards. Saturday is filled with interactive workshops and a keynote “Appalachian Chat” with James Beard awarded author Ronni Lundy and New York Times Bestselling Author Sharyn Mccrumb. Artisans and farmers market during Saturday’s lunch at The Bascom. And Saturday night’s multi-chef dinner at The Farm breaks out even more culinary talent with live food stations by Ian Boden of The Shack, Ashley Capps of Buxton Hall Barbecue, Annie Pettry of Decca, John Fleer of Rhubarb and Adam Hayes of Canyon Kitchen. Afterward, Highlands Performing Arts Center sponsors and hosts Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band The SteelDrivers. Sunday Bluegrass Gospel Brunch featuring popular Early Girl Eatery Chef John Stehling with crowd-favorite Denny Trantham. February 23, 2017  Science of Wine - Durham, North Carolina
Museum of Life + Science. Museum AfterHours programs.  Join us for an elegant evening of fine wine as we examine the science behind your favorite vintages and varieties. We’ve invited local wine sellers, cheese makers and chocolatiers to create this special experience for our science loving wine connoisseurs. Researchers will be on hand to reveal how soil and sun affect color and flavor. Local vendors will hand out samples of cheese and chocolate to perfectly compliment your favorite Cabernet or Chardonnay. Whether you like your wine oaked, opulent, buttery, or bright, this event is sure to tickle your taste buds.  Members: $30 | General Public: $35 | Designated driver: $20 | VIP (includes event admission): $100.

January 11-12, 2015  Stir the Pot with Christopher Kostow
Raleigh, North Carolina
Stir the Pot is on the calendar for 2015! Chef Ashley Christensen of Poole’s Diner in Raleigh, NC, will host Christopher Kostow, chef at The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa Valley, California. Christopher was honored with a James Beard Award in 2013 (Best Chef: West) and his cookbook, A New Napa Cuisine, will be published by Ten Speed Press this fall.  On Sunday night, January 11, Christopher will team up with Ashley’s staff to prepare a five-course meal, served with wine pairings. And on Monday night, January 12, Ashley will host a potluck to thank Christopher for his work.  Tickets for the Sunday night dinner are priced at $150 each and tickets for the Monday potluck supper aret $35 each (plus your promise to bring a dish to share).

February 24-26, 2015 - Small Plate Crawl - Asheville, North Carolina
Asheville Independent Restaurants.  This is an interactive fun event designed to encourage locals to try new restaurants in Asheville. It’s also an opportunity for restaurants to show off their cuisine and Chef’s talent! During this delicious three day event, at the end of February, customers will be rewarded for visiting as many restaurants as they can through fabulous raffle prizes.
