Annual Gingerbread Village
Caro, Michigan
An old-fashioned holiday in Caro, where true happiness is homemade. Events include gingerbread house competitions for all ages, baking contest, family fun fest, music, art, raffles and visits from Fred and Ginger Bread, the mascots of the event.

December 1-2, 2023 - 41st Christmas in Ida Festival & Parade of Lights
Ida, Michigan
Known as a family destination of the Midwest, the festival creates a winter wonderland known for its hospitality, entertainment and the Granddaddy of all, the spectacular Christmas in Ida Parade of Lights, featuring two hours of illuminated and animated parade entries from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Canada.  Attendance: 52,000.

December 2, 2023 - The Original Country Christmas Lighted Farm Implement Parade - Sandusky, Michigan
Our parade is designed to capture the spirit of Christmas in Sandusky’s rural environment. Sandusky is proud of its location in the center of the Thumb’s agricultural region. "Michigan’s Original” Country Christmas Lighted Farm Implement Parade plays tribute to the Thumb’s agricultural heritage - past, present, and future.

December 5-7, 2023  Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable & Farm Market Expo
Grand Rapids, Michigan
The PREMIERE SHOW for Fruit and Vegetable Growers, Greenhouse Growers and Farm Marketers!  Over 4,200 people from 42 states and 8 Canadian provinces attended last year's Expo!  69 education sessions and workshops will be offered over three days!  425-plus exhibitors will fill over four acres of exhibit space in the trade show!  The Expo offers many special events, receptions and other networking opportunities!  Attendance: 4,200.

December 31, 2023  New Year's Fest - Kalamazoo, Michigan
New Year’s Fest is an all-ages showcase of performing arts that takes place on New Year's Eve in Downtown Kalamazoo. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and runs until 12 a.m. to ring in the New Year.  The event features live music, performers, and an array of different types of performing entertainment.

December 31, 2023  Annual CherryT Ball Drop - Traverse City, Michigan
Only one agenda...a night of family fun! A six-foot diameter giant cherry will be dropped from a 228-foot construction crane at midnight. Live music and a charity drive.

December 31, 2023  The Drop in Motor City - Detroit, Michigan
The Drop is located in the heart of Downtown Detroit at Campus Martius & Cadillac Square with an evening festival with something for everyone! At midnight witness a visual spectacle unrivaled in all of the Midwest when we lower the “D” to countdown to the New Year!

Dec 9-10 & 16-17, 2017 - Farm By Lantern Light - Grayling, Michigan
Our popular annual event is an interpretive, historical play presented by local actors depicting life during the holidays on a farm in 1932. Be guided by a team of horses through the snow-covered trails of Wellington Farm, USA. Each building is lit with the gentle glow of lanterns as the story unfolds. Fridays & Saturdays.
