MOSTLY OATS GRANOLA

Simply in Season

Yields 11 cups/2.7 L


• 6 cups / 1.5 L rolled oats
• 1 cup / 250 ml shredded coconut
• 1 cup / 250 ml raw wheat germ
• 3/4 cup / 175 ml peanuts or other nuts
• 1/2 cup / 125 ml raw sunflower seeds
• 1/2 cup / 125 ml sesame seeds (optional)

Combine in a large bowl.

• 1/2 cup / 125 ml honey
• 1/3 cup / 75 ml oil
• 1/3 cup / 75 ml water
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix together and pour over oat mixture Stir well Spread in a thin layer on baking sheets Bake in preheated oven at 325F / 160C for 10 minutes Stir and bake another 5 minutes Stir again and bake 3-5 minutes. Watch carefully to prevent burning. Cool.

• 1 cup / 250 ml raisins or dried cranberries
Add  and store in airtight containers.
