Berlin, Germany
The festival's one-mile-long beer garden has stalls offering 2,000 kinds of beer from 300 breweries. Over one million people visit the event each year.

August 10-19, 2012  Apple Wine Festival - Frankfurt, Germany
Celebrates apple wine, which has been popular in Frankfurt for hundreds of years. Many kinds of apple wine are available for tasting. Enjoy the entertainment stage and shopping at vendor stalls.

August 10-20, 2012  Gaubodenvolksfest
Straubing, Bavaria, Germany
The event, which celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2012, was founded as an agricultural festival. It is now recognized as a family-friendly Oktoberfest style celebration, with over 100 carousels, entertainment, and six beer tents to seat 24,000 people. Only beers from the Straubing region are served. Each year the festival hosts over one million visitors, many attired in Bavarian costume.

Frankfurt, Germany
Over 600 wines from the Rheingau region will be tasted at thirty vintner stands and refreshments will be available at food stalls. Held annually since 1978.

One of the largest and most beautiful wine festivals in Germany with more than 1,000,000 visitors annually. The Stuttgart city center is transformed into a festive wine village with around 120 decorated wine alcoves and 250 different Wuerttemberg wines.

The Mosel region's largest wine festival, including the winemakers' procession, fireworks, artisan market, wine tasting, and many events on wine road. Over 30 wine booths offer famous Riesling wines and more.

Held since 1974, the festival includes a music program and local culinary delights reaching from cheese platters to Lake Constance fish served with regional wines.

Celebrating the Dithmarschen region's annual harvest of 80 million cabbages, the festival recreates markets that were held in the Middle Ages. Visitors enjoy entertainment, pageants, informative farm tours, and excellent food and drink including cabbage bread, cabbage licquor and, of course, sauerkraut.

Munich, Germany
The first Oktoberfest was held in the year 1810 in honor of the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The festivities began on October 12, 1810 and ended on October 17th with a horse race. In the following years, the celebrations were repeated and, later, the festival was prolonged and moved forward into September.

The festival is part of Dresden's Christmas Market, held since 1434. The Stollen Festival celebrates the famous Christmas bread, which is filled with fruit and nuts. Hundreds of pastry chefs parade the world's largest stollen, weighing four tons, through the streets of Old Town.
